Abstract

The Musical Highway is the controlled measurement of spacing between grooves running perpendicular to the flow of traffic in a roadway, to produce various audible pitches.

What I claim as my invention is:  
     
         1 ) The strategic placement of grooves in a roadway surface perpendicular to the direction of travel to produce the desired frequency at a given rate of speed.  
     
     
         2 ) Variation in groove size and spacing will allow for composition of adjacent pitches to produce music or voice.
