Disc case

Abstract

This invention provides a disc case which may simplify the construction of the disc case, facilitate taking out the disc from the disc case, and reduce the cost of manufacturing the disc case, and the disc case, which is a disc case for enclosing the disc-like recording medium, includes an opening part for exposing a part of the disc-like recording medium to the outside and an elastic deformation part of a cantilever structure for holding the disc-like recording medium.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A disc case, which encloses a disc-like recording medium, comprising: 
 an opening part for exposing a part of the disc-like recording medium to the outside; and    an elastic deformation part of a cantilever structure for holding the disc-like recording medium and deformed in the direction of thickness of the disc-like recording medium.    
     
     
         2 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the outline dimension of at least one portion in a plane including the disc-like recording medium is 1.2 times or less as large as the diameter of the disc-like recording medium.  
     
     
         3 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the elastic deformation part is deformed to take out the disc-like recording medium.  
     
     
         4 . The disc case according to  claim 3 , wherein the elastic deformation part has a free end in the direction of taking out the disc-like recording medium.  
     
     
         5 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the elastic deformation part is provided at two portions.  
     
     
         6 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein a deformation regulating part abutting on the elastic deformation part is provided so that the deformation of the elastic deformation part is not beyond the range of elasticity.  
     
     
         7 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the tip of the elastic deformation part is provided with a guide part having a slant face, a part of which always enters the thickness of the disc case.  
     
     
         8 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the elastic deformation part is provided with a regulating wall for regulating the position of the enclosed disc-like recording medium in the radial direction and in the direction of thickness.  
     
     
         9 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the disc-like record media has a diameter of about 80 mm and a thickness of about 1.2 mm.  
     
     
         10 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the disc-like recording medium is selected from DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW.  
     
     
         11 . The disc case according to  claim 1 , wherein the disc-like recording medium is a recording medium where recording or reproducing operation is performed for one side, and the elastic deformation part holds the side of the disc-like recording medium that is not subjected to recording or reproducing operation.  
     
     
         12 . A disc case, which is a disc case serviceable to the same recording and reproducing apparatus as a disc cartridge, wherein the disc cartridge has a first disc-like recording medium and a first quadrilateral case for removably enclosing the first disc-like recording medium, 
 the first case comprises: 
 a first opening part for exposing a part of the first disc-like recording medium to the outside;  
 a first positioning hole for regulating the loading position to the recording and reproducing apparatus;  
 a shutter movably mounted on the first case for opening and closing the first opening part; and  
 a first sensor hole showing the take-out history of the first disc-like recording medium,  
 the disc case has a second disc-like recording medium having the substantially same diameter as the first disc-like recording medium, and a second case having the substantially same shape as the first case for removably enclosing the second disc-like recording medium,  
   the second case comprises: 
 a second opening part for exposing a part of the second disc-like recording medium to the outside;  
 a second positioning hole provided in a portion corresponding to the first positioning hole for regulating the loading position to the recording and reproducing apparatus; a second sensor hole showing the take-out history of the second disc-like recording medium; and  
 an elastic deformation part of a cantilever structure deformed in the direction of thickness of the disc for removably enclosing the second disc-like recording medium.  
   
     
     
         13 . The disc case according to  claim 12 , wherein the information corresponding to the open state is always held in the second sensor hole.  
     
     
         14 . A case, which is a case capable of enclosing a disc-like recording medium, comprising: 
 an opening part for exposing a part of the disc-like recording medium to the outside; and    an elastic deformation part of a cantilever structure holding the disc-like recording medium and deformed in the direction of thickness of the disc-like recording medium.    
     
     
         15 . The case according to  claim 14 , wherein the elastic deformation part is deformed to get the disc-like recording medium in and out.  
     
     
         16 . The case according to  claim 15 , wherein the elastic deformation part has a free end in the direction of taking out the disc-like recording medium.  
     
     
         17 . The case according to  claim 15 , wherein the case is constructed by integral molding of plastics.
