Abstract

The invention relates to a novel method of enameling substrates comprised of glass or vitroceramic material, according to which method the enamel composition contains graphite as a component, with the aim of improving the mechanical properties of the enameled substrate and/or conferring anti-adhesive properties on the composition. The invention also relates to the composition, and the enameled substrates obtained.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of enameling a glass substrate, particularly a glass pane, or a vitroceramic substrate, according to which method an enamel composition is deposited on at least a part of the surface of the substrate, the resulting layer is (optionally) dried, and subsequently the enamel coating is fused or vitrified; wherewith, with the aim of improving the mechanical properties of the enameled substrate and/or conferring anti-adhesive properties on the composition, the enamel composition comprises graphite as a component thereof.

2 . A method according to claim 1 ; characterized in that the composition is applied in a single serigraphic operation (or “pass”).

3 . An enamel composition employed in the method according to claim 1 or 2 , comprised of
a powder formed from a glass frit and a pigment or pigments,
 a medium, and
 graphite,
wherewith the presence of the graphite is intended to improve the mechanical properties of the enameled substrate and/or to confer anti-adhesive properties on the composition.

4 . A composition according to claim 3 ; characterized in that it comprises at least 2 wt. % graphite (based on the total weight of the composition).

5 . A composition according to claim 3 or 4 ; characterized in that it comprises at least 30 wt. % of pigment(s) (based on the weight of the mixture of frit plus pigment(s)).

6 . A glass pane comprising at least one glass sheet coated, on at least a part of one of the faces of said sheet, with a composition according to one of claims 3 to 5 .

7 . A vitroceramic plate comprising at least one layer of vitroceramic material coated, on at least a part of one of the faces of said layer, with a composition according to one of claims 3 to 5 .

8 . The use of graphite in an enamel composition intended for coating a substrate comprised of glass or vitroceramic material, wherewith an aim of said use is to improve the mechanical properties of the enameled substrate and/or to confer anti-adhesive properties on the composition.
