Multipurpose storage device
Abstract
The present invention is a storage device ideally suited for storing a ladder or any elongated object. The storage device of the present invention comprises an elongated storage box having a front wall, rear wall, bottom wall, top wall and a pair of side walls forming a box assembly having an interior storage area. Located on the lower wall and extending beyond each side wall is a flange member that forms an inherent lip. Apertures extend though the flange and are adapted to receive conventional securing devices. This will allow for the device to be secured to any desired object, such the bed of a truck. The front wall is angled for reducing when resistance when the device is secure to a vehicle and when the vehicle is in motion. At least one additional storage compartment can be secured to any wall of the storage box for added storage capability.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A storage device comprising:
a box assembly having a front wall, rear wall, side pair of side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall for a substantially box configuration; an interior area is formed from said front wall, said rear wall, said pair of side walls, said bottom wall and said rear wall; an access is located in said front wall or said rear wall for accessing said interior area; and a flange having an attaching element therein extends along each of said side wall in proximity to said bottom wail.
2 . A storage device as in claim 1 wherein said front wall is angularly secured to said top wall and said bottom wall.
3 . A storage device as in claim 1 wherein said access includes a locking feature for locking said access.
4 . A storage device as in claim 1 wherein at least one storage compartment having an interior area is secured to said upper wall or said lower wall and said at least one compartment has an access device for accessing said interior area.
5 . A storage device as in claim 4 wherein said at least one storage compartment is removably secured to said box assembly.
6 . A storage device as in claim 1 wherein at least one storage compartment having an interior area is secured to at least one side wall and said at least one compartment has an access device for accessing said interior area.
7 . A storage device as in claim 6 wherein said at least one storage compartment is removably secured to said box assembly.
8 . A storage device comprising:
a box assembly having a front wall, rear wall, side pair of side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall for a substantially box configuration; an interior area is formed from said front wall, said rear wall, said pair of side walls, said bottom wall and said rear wall; an access is located in said front wall or said rear wall for accessing said interior area; and said front wall is angularly secured to said top wall and said bottom wall.
9 . A storage device as in claim 8 wherein said access includes a locking feature for locking said access.
10 . A storage device as in claim 8 wherein at least one storage compartment having an interior area is secured to said upper wall, said lower wall or said side wall and said at least one compartment has an access device for accessing said interior area.
11 . A storage device as in claim 10 wherein said at least one storage compartment is removably secured to said box assembly.
12 . A storage device as in claim 8 wherein a flange having an attaching element therein extends along each of said side wall in proximity to said bottom wall and said attaching element comprises a plurality of holes extending through said flange and a plurality of securing device for inserting at least one of said plurality of holes for securement.
13 . A storage device as in claim 8 wherein each side wall includes at least one storage compartments each having an interior area and each has an access device for accessing said interior area, a flange having an attaching element therein extends along a single side of each compartment for providing for said flange to be exteriorly located with respect to said box assembly, an attaching element extends through said flange.
14 . A storage device as in claim as in claim 13 wherein a lock is located on each access device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
