Abstract

The present application relates to nucleic acids and polypeptides from Cenarchaeum symbiosum . Methods of making the polypeptides and antibodies against the polypeptides are also described.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . An isolated or purified antibody capable of specifically binding to a polypeptide comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOS: 6, 10, 14, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 42, 46, 58, 60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 72, 76, and 80.  
     
     
         2 . An isolated or purified antibody capable of specifically binding to a polypeptide comprising at least 10 consecutive amino acids of one of the polypeptides of SEQ ID NOS: 6, 10, 14, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 42, 46, 58, 60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 72, 76, and 80.  
     
     
         3 . An isolated or purified antibody capable of specifically binding to a polypeptide having a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOS: 4, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 36, 40, 44, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 70, 74, and 78.  
     
     
         4 . An isolated or purified antibody capable of specifically binding to a polypeptide comprising at least 10 consecutive amino acids of one of the polypeptides of SEQ ID NOS:  4, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 36, 40, 44, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 70, 74, and 78.
