Abstract

A wrapper opening system, for removing a plastic wrapper from a package, using a device including a horizontal panel having a planar upper surface and a planar lower surface. An abrasive sheet is secured to the planar upper surface of the horizontal panel. The package is rubbed against the abrasive sheet to tear and break the plastic wrapping so that it can be removed from the package

What is claimed as being new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent of the united states is as follows:  
     
         1 . A pack wrapper opening method for removing the plastic wrapper from a package for access to the contents of the package, using a device having a horizontal panel having an abrasive upper surface, comprising the steps of: 
 engaging the plastic wrapper with the abrasive upper surface to remove the plastic wrapper from the package by rubbing the package against the abrasive upper surface.    
     
     
         2 . The pack wrapper opening method as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the device has a pair of vertical panels extending upward from the horizontal panel, and wherein the step of engaging the plastic wrapper with the abrasive upper surface further comprises sliding the package between the vertical panels.  
     
     
         3 . A pack wrapper opening method for use with a package having a plastic wrapper, for removing the plastic wrapper from the package, using a device having a horizontal panel having an abrasive upper surface, a pair of vertical panels extending upward from the horizontal panel to create a receiving channel, comprising the steps of: 
 positioning the package between the vertical panels;    engaging the package with the abrasive upper surface on the horizontal panel; and    breaking the plastic wrapper by rubbing the package against the abrasive upper surface; and    removing the plastic wrapper from the package.
