Abstract
The invention provides a composition for improving an action of an immunosuppressant, comprising insulin-like growth factor I or its analog as an active ingredient.

2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the improving effect is an enhancing effect of the immunosuppressive action of -the immunosuppressant.
3 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the action of the immunosuppressant is its prophylactic or therapeutic action on the liver diseases.
4 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the action of the immunosuppressant is its anagenetic action on the liver and/or hepatic cell enlargement or growth promoting action.
5 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the action of the immunosuppressant is its prophylactic or therapeutic action on the graft rejection following a liver transplantation.
6 . The composition of claims 1 ˜ 5 , wherein the immunosuppressant is an immunosuppressive macrolide compound.
7 . The composition of claim 6 , wherein the macrolide compound is FK506.
8 . The composition of claims 1 ˜ 5 , wherein the immunosuppressant is cyclosporin A.
9 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the action of the immunosuppressant is its side effect and the improvement thereon is alleviation or inhibition of its side effect.
10 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the side effect of the immunosuppressant is suppression of choleresis, suppression of bile acid secretion and/or cholestasis.
11 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the side effect of the immunosuppressant is the side effect of cyclosporin A.
12 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising an immunosuppressant and insulin-like growth factor I or its analog.
13 . A method of improving the action of an immunosuppressant, which comprises administering an effective amount of insulin-like growth factor I or an analog thereof.
14 . A use of insulin-like growth factor I or an analog thereof for manufacturing a composition for improving an action of an immunosuppressant.
15 . An insulin-like growth factor I-producing composition comprising an immunosuppressive macrolide compound as an active ingredient.
16 . The insulin-like growth factor I-producing composition claimed in claim 15 , wherein the macrolide compound is FK506.
17 . A method of inducing the production of insulin-like growth factor I, which comprises administering an effective amount of an immunosuppressive macrolide compound.
18 . A use of an immunosuppressive macrolide compound for manufacturing an insulin-like growth factor I-producing composition.
19 . A choleretic composition, bile acid secretion promoting composition and/or therapeutic composition for cholestasis, which comprises an insulin-like growth factor I-producing compound as an active ingredient.
20 . The composition claimed in claim 19 , wherein the insulin-like growth factor I-producing compound is a macrolide compound.
21 . The composition claimed in claim 20 , wherein the macrolide compound is FK506.
22 . A method of promoting choleresis, a method of promoting bile acid secretion and/or a method of treating cholestasis, which comprises administering an effective amount of an insulin-like growth factor I-producing compound.
