Abstract

A disposable protective cover for high back chairs including a flexible rectangular panel having a short upper edge, a short lower edge, and long opposed side edges. The flexible rectangular panel is positionable over an upper end of a high back chair. A pair of elastic straps are secured to the long opposed side edges of the flexible rectangular panel for securement of the panel to the upper end of the high back chair.

What is claimed as being new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent of the United States is as follows:  
     
         1 . A disposable protective cover for high back chairs for preventing a person's head and neck from coming in contact with a high back chair that is used by the public comprising, in combination: 
 a flexible rectangular panel having a short upper edge, a short lower edge, and long opposed side edges, the flexible rectangular panel being positionable over an upper end of a high back chair; and    a pair of elastic straps secured to the long opposed side edges of the flexible rectangular panel for securement of the panel to the upper end of the high back chair, the straps each having an upper end and a lower end, the upper ends being secured to the opposed side edges of the panel downwardly of the upper edge, the lower ends being secured to the opposed side edges downwardly of the upper ends, the positioning of the straps with respect to the panel dividing the panel into a small upper section, a large lower section and an intermediate section therebetween whereby the small upper section is positioned on a back side of the upper end of the high back chair, the large lower section is positioned on a front side of the upper end of the high back chair and the intermediate section is positioned atop the upper end of the high back chair.    
     
     
         2 . A disposable protective cover for high back chairs for preventing a person's head and neck from coming in contact with a high back chair that is used by the public comprising, in combination: 
 a flexible rectangular panel having a short upper edge, a short lower edge, and long opposed side edges, the flexible rectangular panel being positionable over an upper end of a high back chair; and    a pair of elastic straps secured to the long opposed side edges of the flexible rectangular panel for securement of the panel to the upper end of the high back chair.    
     
     
         3 . The disposable protective cover for high back chairs as set forth in  claim 2 , wherein the straps each have an upper end and a lower end, the upper ends being secured to the opposed side edges of the panel downwardly of the upper edge, the lower ends being secured to the opposed side edges downwardly of the upper ends.  
     
     
         4 . The disposable protective cover for high back chairs as set forth in  claim 2 , wherein the positioning of the straps with respect to the panel divides the panel into a small upper section, a large lower section and an intermediate section therebetween whereby the small upper section is positioned on a back side of the upper end of the high back chair, the large lower section is positioned on a front side of the upper end of the high back chair and the intermediate section is positioned atop the upper end of the high back chair.
