Abstract
In order to improve castability of a titanium alloy, 0.1-5 wt %, preferably 0.5-3 wt %, of bismuth is doped, based on the weight of bismuth and the titanium alloy. The titanium alloy is for making a dental casting or a medical implant.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of improving castability of a titanium alloy comprising doping said titanium alloy with 0.1-5 wt % of bismuth, based on the weight of bismuth and said titanium alloy.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein 0.5-3 wt % of bismuth is doped, based on the weight of the bismuth and said titanium alloy.
3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 6-9 wt % Mo and the balance Ti.
4 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 6-9 wt % Mo, about 0.1-6 wt % Fe and the balance Ti.
5 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 14-16 wt % Mo and the balance Ti.
6 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 10-13 wt % Mo, about 5-7 wt % Zr, about 0.5-3 wt % Fe and the balance Ti.
7 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 12-14 wt % Nb, about 12-14 wt % Zr and the balance Ti.
8 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 4-6 wt % Al, about 2-4 wt % Fe and the balance Ti.
9 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 5-7 wt % Al, about 6-8 wt % Nb, about 1 wt % of Fe and the balance Ti.
10 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 6-9 wt % Mo, about 6-9 wt % Hf and the balance Ti.
11 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy comprises about 5-7 wt % Al, about 3-5 wt % V and the balance Ti.
12 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy is for making a dental casting.
13 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein said titanium alloy is for making a medical implant.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
