Abstract

An a-frame tripod truss for a scaffold for mounting a platform adjacent a structure having tripod metallic frame segments and removable cross bracing providing a stand-alone, three point support with two ground supports and one wall support, each having extension devices for providing a stable footing on uneven surface. The tripod trusses provide a flat-folding scaffold, with hinged, pivoting connections that permit collapsing the unit, in combination with a shrubbery shelter and staging platform. This flat-folding scaffold, with hinged, pivoting connections that permit collapsing the unit, in combination with shrubbery shelter comprising a plywood member used as a shelter for outdoor plants, attached to the scaffold frame member by platform lock-and-shelter clips supported by the ground support member such that the scaffold provides adequate structural support for supporting heavy loads on the staging platform in addition to heavy loading of the shelter with construction waste.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A flat folding scaffold in combination with shrubbery shelter means and platform means comprising; a plurality of at least two truss elements each truss element providing three point support for staging means, each truss element comprising three elements, two ground support members joined at an apex in an A-Frame configuration and one combination wall and platform support member, wherein all three elements are connected by a unitary hinge means comprising a hinged connection wherein the scaffold as an entire unit may be flat folded in a compact generally rectangular unit for well organized storage and easy access.

         2 . The flat folding scaffold of  claim 1  wherein each ground support member is joined at an apex by a dual action pivoting hinged connection and joined longitudinally by multiple combination cross brace and ladder members and extends downwardly to adjustable feet wherein the A-Frame configuration with bracing offers structural rigidity;

         3 . The flat folding scaffold of claim 1 wherein said flat folding scaffold comprises
 a) ladder means for providing access to a staging platform comprising brace means for the leg members;
 b) a staging platform comprising a generally horizontal wooden platform supported by at least two platform support members;
 c) a shrubbery shelter means for sheltering shrubs and plantings adjacent the scaffold in combination with the staging platform used as a shelter for outdoor plants whereby said scaffold provides ladder access to the staging platform; structural support for supporting heavy loads on the staging platform as well as support for shrubbery shelter means and once the cross brace and ladder members are removed, and the wall support members folded, the A-frame tripod truss for a scaffold collapses into a flat folded compact, easily transportable unit.

         4 . The scaffold system of claim 1 wherein the a-frame tripod truss frame means consists of a plurality of at least two tripod metallic frame segments having removable cross bracing anchoring means comprising pairs of clips consisting of a locking clips and a lock and fasten clips whereby locking clips can be used for anchoring a staging platform and lock and fasten clips can be used to anchoring the shrubbery shelter means.

         5 . The scaffold system device of claim 1 wherein the two ground support members are arranged in a triangle having two legs joined at an apex and extending downwardly to adjustable feet wherein the triangular shape with bracing offers the necessary structural rigidity for carrying heavy loads.
