Clean-out

Abstract

My “Clean-Out” consists of one length of solid 4-inch PVC pipe, one 4-inch PVC T-fitting and one 4-inch solid PVC cap. The length of the solid 4-inch PVC pipe is determined by the depth of the drainage system of the building. For example if the system is 5-ft deep below ground level, the 4-inch PVC pipe will be 5-ft 6-inches in length. The Clean-Out should measure to be at least half of a foot above ground level.

What I claim as my invention is the Clean-Out, the parts being used that put together make the Clean-Out.  
     
         1 . It is a Clean-Out installed on a new drainage system that is installed around a foundation, next to the footer of a foundation.  
     
     
         2 . It consists of one PVC 4-inch T-fitting at the high point or beginning of a drainage system which is 4-inch PVC perforated pipe installed for drainage around a foundation; gravel is installed over top of perforated pipe. Install a solid pipe that is connected to a 90 degree fitting that runs to the surface of ground level from the bottom of the trench. There is also a cap installed on top of the solid pipe above grade so that the perforated pipe that is installed around the foundation can be serviced, snaked or cleaned out; the cap also prevents objects falling into the pipe and therefore clogging the clean-out or the drainage system at the bottom of the foundation.
