Claims

Abstract

A gift wrapper comprises a flexible, panel member and a fastening device. The flexible panel member has front and back opposing sides, upper and lower edges, first and second opposing edges, a first hole substantially near the first opposing edge, and a second hole substantially near the second opposing edge. The respective ends and portions of the fastening device are threaded through the respective holes from the back side of the panel member, and project out on the front side of the panel member. Accordingly, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper, and, the first end and second end of the fastening device are attachable on the front side of the panel member to retain the gift wrapper.

I claim:  
     
         1 . A gift wrapper for a container comprising: 
 a flexible panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, a first hole and a second hole, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    a fastening device having a first end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion, the first end and first portion of the fastening device threaded through the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member, the second end and second portion of the fastening device threaded through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member;    wherein when the first end and first portion of the fastening device are pulled over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, and the second end and second portion of the fastening device are pulled over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, the first and second opposing edges are overlappable; and    wherein the back side of the panel member defines an inner surface of the gift wrapper, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper, the first end and second end of the fastening device attachable on the front side of the panel member to retain the gift wrapper.    
     
     
         2 . The gift wrapper of  claim 1  further including a first adhesive device placed substantially centrally on the back side of the panel member, the first adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a container attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the container attachment surface having a non-destructive, releasable adhesive thereon.  
     
     
         3 . The gift wrapper of  claim 2  further including a second adhesive device placed along the upper edge of the back side of the panel member, the second adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a craft material attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the craft material attachment surface having an adhesive thereon.  
     
     
         4 . The gift wrapper of  claim 3  further including a craft material member having an upper portion, a lower portion, a first opposing end and a second opposing end, the lower portion of the craft material member substantially attached to the craft material attachment surface of the second adhesive device, the upper portion extending past the upper edge of the panel member.  
     
     
         5 . A gift wrapped container comprising: 
 a container having an outer periphery;    a flexible panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, a first hole and a second hole, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    a fastening device having a first end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion;    wherein the first end and first portion of the fastening device are threaded through the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member, and the second end and second portion of the fastening device are threaded through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member; and    wherein the container is placed between the middle portion of the fastening device and the back side of the panel member, the first end and first portion of the fastening device are pulled over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, the second end and second portion of the fastening device are pulled over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, the first and second opposing edges overlappable, the panel member configures to at least a portion of the outer periphery of the container, and the first end and second end of the fastening device attachable on the front side of the panel member so as to secure the panel member to the container.    
     
     
         6 . A method of making a gift wrapper for a container, comprising: 
 providing a flexible panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, a first hole and a second hole, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    providing a fastening device having a first end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion;    inserting the first end and first portion of the fastening device into the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member;    inserting the second end and second portion of the fastening device through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member;    overlapping the first and second opposing edges of the panel member, such that the back side of the panel member defines an inner surface of the gift wrapper, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper;    pulling the first end and first portion of the fastening device over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member;    pulling the second end and second portion of the fastening device over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member; and    releasably attaching the first end and second end of the fastening device.    
     
     
         7 . A method of gift wrapping a container having an outer periphery, comprising: 
 providing a flexible panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, a first hole and a second hole, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    providing a fastening device having a first end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion;    inserting the first end and first portion of the fastening device into the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member;    inserting the second end and second portion of the fastening device through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member;    placing the container between the middle portion of the fastening device and the back side of the panel member;    folding the first and second opposing edges of the panel member around the container, such that the first and second opposing edges of the panel member overlap, the back side of the panel member defines an inner surface of the gift wrapper configured to the outer periphery of the container, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper;    pulling the first end and first portion of the fastening device over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member;    pulling the second end and second portion of the fastening device over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member; and    releasably attaching the first end and second end of the fastening device to retain the gift wrapper inner surface configured to the outer periphery of the container.    
     
     
         8 . A gift wrapper for a container comprising: 
 a flexible, substantially rectangular-shaped panel member, having front and back opposing sides, upper edge, lower edge, first opposing edge and second opposing edge, a the first hole substantially near the first opposing edge, and a second hole substantially near the second opposing edge;    a first adhesive device placed substantially centrally on the back side of the panel member, the first adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a container attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the container attachment surface having a non-destructive, releasable adhesive thereon;    a second adhesive device placed along the upper edge of the back side of the panel member, the second adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a craft material attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the craft material attachment surface having an adhesive thereon;    a craft material member having an upper portion, a lower portion, a first opposing end and a second opposing end, the lower edge of the craft material member substantially attached to the craft material attachment surface of the second adhesive device, the upper portion extending past the upper edge of the panel member;    a fastening device having a first end and a second end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion;    wherein the first end and first portion of the fastening device are threaded through the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member;    wherein the second end and second portion of the fastening device are threaded through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member;    wherein when the first end and first portion of the fastening device are pulled over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, and the second end and second portion of the fastening device are pulled over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, the first and second opposing edges overlappable; and    wherein the back side of the panel member defines an inner surface of the gift wrapper, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper, and the first and seconds ends of the fastening device attachable on the front side of the panel member to retain the gift wrapper.    
     
     
         9 . The gift wrapper of  claim 8  further comprising: 
 a first grommet occupying the first hole; and  
 a second grommet occupying the second hole.  
 
     
     
         10 . A gift wrapped container comprising: 
 a container having an outer periphery;    a flexible, substantially rectangular panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, a first hole and a second hole, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    a first adhesive device placed substantially centrally on the back side of the panel member, the first adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a container attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, the container attachment surface having a non-destructive, releasable adhesive thereon;    a second adhesive device placed along the upper edge of the back side of the panel member, the second adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a craft material attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, the craft material attachment surface having an adhesive thereon;    a craft material member having an upper portion, a lower portion, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, the lower portion of the craft material member substantially attached to the craft material attachment side of the second adhesive device, the upper portion of the craft material member extending past the upper edge of the panel member;    a fastening device having a first end and a second end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion, the first end and first portion of the fastening device threaded through the first hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the first hole on the front side of the panel member, the second end and second portion of the fastening device threaded through the second hole from the back side of the panel member and projected out of the second hole on the front side of the panel member; and    wherein the container is placed between the middle portion of the fastening device and the back side of the panel member, and the container is affixed to the non-destructive, releasable adhesive on the container attachment surface of the first adhesive device, such that when the first end and first portion of the fastening device are pulled over the first opposing edge of the panel member and towards the second end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, and the second end and second portion of the fastening device are pulled over the second opposing edge of the panel member and towards the first end of the fastening device and around to the front side of the panel member, the first and second opposing edges overlappable, the panel member configures to the outer periphery of the container, the upper portion of the craft material member extends outwardly from the top edge of the panel member, and the first and seconds ends of the fastening device attachable on the front side of the panel member enclose the container.    
     
     
         11 . The gift wrapped container of  claim 10  further comprising: 
 a first grommet occupying the first hole; and  
 a second grommet occupying the second hole.  
 
     
     
         12 . The gift wrapped container of  claim 10  wherein the container is a bottle.  
     
     
         13 . The gift wrapped container of  claim 10  wherein the container is a vase.  
     
     
         14 . A gift wrapper for a container comprising: 
 a flexible, substantially rectangular-shaped panel member, having front and back opposing sides, an upper edge, a lower edge, a first opposing edge and a second opposing edge, the panel member including a first hole populated by a first grommet integral with a first disc-shaped tab on the front side of the panel member, a second hole populated by a second grommet integral with a second disc-shaped tab on the front side of the panel member, wherein the first hole is substantially near the first opposing edge, and the second hole is substantially near the second opposing edge;    a first adhesive device placed substantially centrally on the back side of the panel member, the first adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a container attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the container attachment surface having a non-destructive, releasable adhesive thereon;    a second adhesive device placed along the upper edge of the back side of the panel member, the second adhesive device having a panel member attachment surface and a craft material attachment surface, the panel member attachment surface having an adhesive thereon for affixation to the panel member, and the craft material attachment surface having an adhesive thereon;    a craft material member having an upper portion, a lower portion, a first opposing end and a second opposing end, the lower edge of the craft material member substantially attached to the craft material attachment surface of the second adhesive device, the upper portion extending past the upper edge of the panel member;    a fastening device having a first end and a second end, a first portion adjacent to the first end, a second portion adjacent to the second end, and a middle portion interposed between the first portion and second portion;    wherein the first end and first portion of the fastening device are threaded around the first grommet integral with the first disc-shaped tab on the front side of the panel member;    wherein when the second end and second portion of the fastening device are threaded around the second grommet integral with the second disc-shaped tab on the front side of the panel member, the first and second opposing edges overlappable; and    wherein the back side of the panel member defines an inner surface of the gift wrapper, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper, and the fastening device threads around the first and second grommets integral with the first and second disc-shaped tabs on the front side of the panel member retain the gift wrapper.
