Abstract

The covering system comprises at least one panel ( 9 ) capable of being placed on said covering in an inclined position with respect to the horizontal. The panel has an inner chamber ( 25 ), a plurality of suction apertures ( 23 ) through which said inner chamber ( 25 ) communicates with a void inside said building, and a discharge aperture ( 21 ) disposed in the vicinity of the area of said panel which is at a higher level when the panel is installed.

Covering system for a building, comprising at least one panel ( 9 ) capable of being placed on said covering in an inclined position with respect to the horizontal, said panel having an inner chamber ( 25 ), a plurality of suction apertures ( 23 ) through which said inner chamber ( 25 ) communicates with a void inside said building, and a discharge aperture ( 21 ) disposed in the vicinity of the area of said panel which is at a higher level when the panel is installed.  
     
     
         2 . System as claimed in  claim 1 , in which said discharge aperture ( 21 ) is in the form of a slot extending substantially across the width of the panel.  
     
     
         3 . System as claimed in  claim 2 , in which said slot ( 21 ) has a length approximately equal to the width of said panel.  
     
     
         4 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said discharge aperture ( 21 ) is delimited by sections ( 17 ,  19 ;  17 ,  17 )  15  which are inclined with respect to the panel and which form a discharge aperture at a higher level than said panel.  
     
     
         5 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said suction apertures ( 23 ) are absent in the area corresponding to said discharge aperture ( 21 ).  
     
     
         6 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said panel ( 9 ) is formed from an upper sheet ( 9 A) and a lower sheet ( 9 B) connected together by connecting means ( 13 ).  
     
     
         7 . System as claimed in  claim 6 , in which said upper sheet and said lower sheet form with said connecting means a self-supporting panel.  
     
     
         8 . System as claimed in  claim 6  or  7 , in which said upper sheet ( 9 A) has a troughed cross section with channels and ribs extending longitudinally with respect to said panel.  
     
     
         9 . System as claimed in  claim 6  or  7  or  8 , in which said lower sheet has a troughed cross section with channels and ribs extending longitudinally with respect to said panel.  
     
     
         10 . System as claimed in  claim 9 , in which said plurality of suction apertures ( 23 ) are made in the ribs of the lower panel which are closer to the upper panel.  
     
     
         11 . System as claimed in  claim 10 , in which means are provided to prevent the penetration of rain water through said suction apertures ( 23 ).  
     
     
         12 . System as claimed in  claim 1   1 , in which said lower sheet ( 9 B) has projections ( 31 ) which prevent the penetration of rain water through said suction apertures ( 23 ).  
     
     
         13 . System as claimed in  claim 6  or  7  or  8 , in which said lower panel ( 9 B) is flat.  
     
     
         14 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said suction apertures ( 23 ) have raised edges ( 23 A).  
     
     
         15 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which closing means ( 33 ) are provided to interrupt the flow of air through said panel.  
     
     
         16 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said panel has rear slits ( 29 ) for the discharge of the rain water.  
     
     
         17 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which a channel ( 41 ) for the collection of the rain water is disposed under said discharge aperture ( 21 ).  
     
     
         18 . System as claimed in  claim 16 , in which said channel ( 41 ) extends substantially parallel to said discharge aperture ( 21 ).  
     
     
         19 . Covering system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, for a building with multiple floors, in which at least one of said panels ( 9 ) is disposed on the covering of said building, and in which the void (S) beneath said panel ( 9 ) communicates with the voids (A 1 -A 2 ) beneath them through slots ( 53 ) for the passage of a rising current of air.  
     
     
         20 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, in which said panel is made from aluminum sheet.  
     
     
         21 . System as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, comprising a plurality of inclined panels ( 9 ), a plurality of inclined glazed units and a plurality of beams, said panels, said glazed units and said beams forming a covering of the “shed” type.
