Golf putting and chipping training device
Abstract
A golf training device ( 1 ) primarily for putting and chipping having a vertical plate ( 6 ) for alignment on a hand grip ( 9 ) of a golf club ( 3 ) and a second plate ( 7 ) is attached at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the first plate ( 6 ). The second plate ( 7 ) is for resting against the lower forearm ( 5 ) of the golfer ( 2 ) during the golf stroke to achieve and maintain a substantially triangular configuration of a golfer's arms. The device may be removably affixed to the hand grip by attachment means, such as straps ( 8 ) having hook and loop fastening material ( 11 ).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedHaving thus described my invention, I claim:
1 . A golf training device primarily for putting and chipping, said device comprising:
a first plate for vertical alignment on a hand grip of a golf club; and a second plate on a top of the first plate at an angle such that said second plate rests against an inside surface of a foreward forearm of a golfer.
2 . The golf training device of claim 1 wherein the device is removably affixable to the golf club by attachment means on the first plate for removably affixing the device to the hand grip of a golf club.
3 . The golf training device of claim 2 wherein the attachment means comprises one or more straps capable of being secured around the hand grip of a golf club by fastening means on the one or more straps.
4 . The golf club training device of claim 3 wherein the fastening means on the straps comprises hook and loop fastening material.
5 . The golf club training device of claim 2 wherein the first plate is concave on an inside surface so that it conforms to the circular shape of the handle of a golf club when the device is attached thereto.
6 . The golf club training device of claim 3 wherein the first plate is concave on an inside surface so that it conforms to the circular shape of the handle of a golf club when the device is attached thereto.
7 . The golf club training device of claim 4 wherein the first plate is concave on an inside surface so that it conforms to the circular shape of the handle of a golf club when the device is attached thereto.
8 . The golf training device of claim 1 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
9 . The golf training device of claim 2 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
10 . The golf training device of claim 3 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
11 . The golf training device of claim 4 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
12 . The golf training device of claim 5 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
13 . The golf training device of claim 6 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
14 . The golf training device of claim 7 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
15 . The golf training device of claim 8 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
16 . The golf training device of claim 9 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
17 . The golf training device of claim 10 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
18 . The golf training device of claim 11 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.
19 . The golf training device of claim 12 wherein the angle between the first and second plates is approximately 45 degrees.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
