Communication apparatus, data rewrite method and data download method

Abstract

A communication apparatus receives an electronic mail. The apparatus comprises a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network, and a program data extraction section that extracts program data from said electronic mail. A data storage section that stores the extracted data is also provided.

What is claimed:  
     
         1 . A communication apparatus for receiving an electronic mail, comprising: 
 a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network;    a program data extraction section for extracting program data from said electronic mail; and    a data storage section for storing the extracted data.    
     
     
         2 . A communication apparatus for receiving an electronic mail, comprising: 
 a data storage section for storing program data;    a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network;    a program data extraction section for extracting program data from said electronic mail; and    a data rewrite section for rewriting the program data stored in said data storage section using the extracted program data.    
     
     
         3 . A communication apparatus for receiving an electronic mail, comprising: 
 a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network;    a decision section for deciding whether or not it is possible to process data in said electronic mail; and    a download section for downloading data that is necessary to process said data in said electronic mail from a server when said decision section decides that it is not possible to process said data in said electronic mail.    
     
     
         4 . The apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein said download section transmits a download request message to a transmission side in order to request the transmission side to transmit an electronic mail to which data are attached.  
     
     
         5 . A communication apparatus for receiving an electronic mail, comprising: 
 a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network;    a decision section for deciding whether or not it is possible to process data in said electronic mail; and    a data forward section for forwarding said data to a processing server when said decision section decides that it is not possible to process said data.    
     
     
         6 . A communication apparatus for receiving an electronic mail, comprising: 
 a mail reception section for receiving an electronic mail via a network;    a decision section for deciding whether or not said electronic mail is a download instruction message for instructing a download of data;    a mode selection section for selecting either of a compulsion mode or a confirmation mode;    a download section for downloading said data;    a notification section for notifying of a reception of said electronic mail when said electronic mail is the download instruction message for instructing the download of data; and    an input section which is used to instruct the download to said download section from an outside;    wherein when said mode selection section selects said compulsion mode, said download section downloads said data forcedly, while when said mode selection section selects said confirmation mode, said notification section first notifies of said reception, then said download section downloads said data in the case of receiving an instruction of the download from said input section.    
     
     
         7 . A method for downloading data, comprising the steps of: 
 extracting the program data from a received electronic mail;    and storing the extracted program data.    
     
     
         8 . A method for rewriting program data, comprising the steps of: 
 extracting the program data from a received electronic mail;    and rewriting current data using the extracted program data.    
     
     
         9 . A method for downloading data, comprising the steps of: 
 deciding whether or not it is possible to process data in a received electronic mail; and    downloading data that is necessary to process said data in said electronic mail from a server when it is decided that it is not possible to process said data in said electronic mail.    
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 9 , wherein the download is executed by transmitting a download request message to a transmission side in order to request the transmission side to transmit an electronic mail to which data are attached.  
     
     
         11 . A method for processing data, comprising the steps of: 
 deciding whether or not it is possible to process data in a received electronic mail; and    forwarding said data to a processing server when it is decided that it is not possible to process said data.
