Abstract

A separate necktie and knot are provided as a pair for engaging a necktie with a knot, without the prior art, making of the tie. The knot is engaged over the ends of the tie, slid into place at the neck and secured. The separate band and knot of the present invention simplifies the complications of making a prior art necktie with a knot.

Having described certain forms of the invention in some detail, what is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A necktie set comprising a necktie band portion, and a necktie knot portion, said necktie hand portion including at least a first end and a second end, said necktie knot portion including at least a top portion; a bottom portion; and an opening therethrough, said necktie band portion's first end and second end threadable through said necktie knot portion's opening, said necktie knot portion further including attaching means.  
     
     
         2 . The necktie set of  claim 1  wherein said necktie knot includes a front portion and a rear portion, said attaching means at said rear portion.  
     
     
         3 . The necktie set of  claim 2  wherein said attaching means is is engagable to a button.  
     
     
         4 . The necktie set of  claim 3  wherein said attaching means includes an opening.  
     
     
         5 . The necktie set of  claim 4  wherein said attaching means is a loop.  
     
     
         6 . The necktie set of  claim 5  wherein said loop is affixed at a rear portion of said knot.
