Abstract

The object of the invention is an arrangement for applying a liquid or viscous product, comprising a reservoir ( 4 ) including a neck ( 8 ) and a cap ( 6 ) carrying an applicator member ( 20 ) which, in the storage position, is immersed in the product contained in this reservoir, the said neck including a base ( 10 ) and an upper end ( 13 ); the upper end of the neck havign a profile such that, when the applicator member is wrung out on this end, the wrung out product flows essentially down the internal wall ( 21 ) of the reservoir. Another object of the invention is an arrangement for applying a liquid or viscous product, comprising a reservoir ( 4 ) including a neck ( 8 ) and a cap ( 6 ) carrying an applicator member ( 20 ) which, in the storage position, is immersed in the product contained in this reservoir, the sais neck including a base ( 10 ) and an upper end ( 13 ); the upper end of the neck having no bearing surface.

Arrangement for applying a liquid or viscous product, comprising a reservoir ( 4 ) including a neck ( 8 ) and a cap ( 6 ) carrying an applicator member ( 20 ) which, in the storage position, is immersed in the product contained in this reservoir, the said neck including a base ( 10 ) and an upper end ( 13 ); characterized in that the upper end of the neck has a profile such that, when the applicator member is wrung out on this end, the wrung out product flows essentially down the internal wall ( 21 ) of the reservoir.  
     
     
         2 . Arrangement for applying a liquid or viscous product, comprising a reservoir ( 4 ) including a neck ( 8 ) and a cap ( 6 ) carrying an applicator member ( 20 ) which, in the storage position, is immersed in the product contained in this reservoir, the said neck including a base ( 10 ) and an upper end ( 13 ); characterized in that the upper end of the neck has no bearing surface.  
     
     
         3 . Applicator arrangement according to either one of claims  1  and  2 , characterized in that the upper end of the neck comprises at least one ridge ( 15 ).

Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 1  to  3 , characterized in that the upper end ( 13 ) is equipped with a first ridge ( 15 ) and with at least one second ridge ( 17 ,  17   a ,  17   b ), the first ridge being at a level above the level of the second ridge, the levels being measured along an axis (X) of the reservoir.  
     
     
         5 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the neck includes a lip ( 12 ) surmounting the base and terminating in said end.  
     
     
         6 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 3  to  5 , characterized in that the first ridge is defined by the intersection of two planes (P;P′) forming an acute angle.  
     
     
         7 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 4  to  6 , characterized in that the first ridge is situated on said internal wall.  
     
     
         8 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 4  to  6 , characterized in that the first ridge is situated on an external wall ( 19 ) of the neck.  
     
     
         9 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 4  to  6 , characterized in that the neck includes two second ridges ( 17   a ,  17   b ) each of which is situated on the external wall ( 19 ) and internal wall ( 21 ) of the neck, the first ridge being situated between the two second ridges.  
     
     
         10 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 3  to  9 , characterized in that each ridge is sharp or rounded.  
     
     
         11 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of  claims 3  to  10 , characterized in that said ridges have a thickness (e 3 ) which does not exceed 2 mm, the thickness being measured in a direction perpendicular to the axis (X).  
     
     
         12 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper end ( 13 ) has a uniform profile.  
     
     
         13 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base ( 10 ) has a wall thickness e 1  in a direction orthogonal to the axis (X) and in that the lip ( 12 ) has a wall thickness e 2  in the direction orthogonal to the axis (X) which is less than e 1 .  
     
     
         14 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 13 , characterized in that the ratio e 2 /e 1  is less than 0.9.  
     
     
         15 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 13  or  14 , characterized in that the ratio e 2 /e 1  ranges from 0.1 to 0.8.  
     
     
         16 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base has a height H and the lip has a height h which are such that the ratio h/H is less than 6, the heights H and h being measured along the axis (X).  
     
     
         17 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 16 , characterized in that the ratio h/H ranges from 0.03 to 4.  
     
     
         18 . Arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the neck is moulded as a single piece.  
     
     
         19 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the neck has a first screw thread ( 14 ) provided only on the base.  
     
     
         20 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the neck has the or a first screw thread ( 14 ) provided only at the bottom part of the base.  
     
     
         21 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 19  or  20 , characterized in that the cap is equipped with a second screw thread ( 14 ) interacting with the one on the base.  
     
     
         22 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cap has a cap insert ( 30 ) carrying the applicator member.  
     
     
         23 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 15 , characterized in that the cap insert ( 30 ) is equipped with a second screw thread ( 18 ) interacting with the one on the base.  
     
     
         24 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the internal cross-section of the neck is constant or variable, along the axis (X).  
     
     
         25 . Applicator arrangement according to  claim 24 , characterized in that the neck comprises an upper part ( 12 ) and a lower part ( 10 ), the internal cross-section of the upper part being smaller than the internal cross-section of the lower part.  
     
     
         26 . Applicator arrangement according to either one of claims  24  and  25 , characterized in that the internal wall ( 21 ) of the neck has the shape of a cone whose larger cross-section is directed towards the bottom of the reservoir.  
     
     
         27 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cap includes a and ( 22 ) carrying the applicator member.  
     
     
         28 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the neck includes a counter-ring ( 28 ) integral with the reservoir and carrying the base.  
     
     
         29 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the applicator member consists of a brush.  
     
     
         30 . Applicator arrangement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the reservoir is made of a material which is treated at least on one external face.  
     
     
         31 . Nail-varnish applicator arrangement comprising a reservoir ( 4 ) including a neck ( 8 ) and a cap ( 6 ) carrying a brush ( 20 ) which, in the storage position, is immersed in the product contained in this reservoir, said neck including a base ( 10 ) and an upper end ( 13 ), characterized in that the upper end of the neck has a profile such that when the brush is wrung out on this end, the wrung out product flows essentially down the internal wall ( 21 ) of the reservoir.
