Lottery ticket play action game

Abstract

A lottery ticket having a play area covered by a scratch-off layer including a plurality of individual play regions each containing at least one of a prize supporting symbol, a prize defeating symbol or a directional symbol advising the player to proceed to another play region, wherein a prize is won if the player accumulates at least a minimum of prize supporting symbols before obtaining a preselected number of prize defeating symbols.

What is claimed:  
     
         1 . A lottery ticket comprising a play area comprising a plurality of individual play regions each containing at least one of a prize supporting symbol, a prize defeating symbol or a directional symbol advising the player to proceed to another play region, wherein a prize is won if the player accumulates at least a minimum of prize supporting symbols before obtaining a preselected number of prize defeating symbols, said play area being covered by a removable scratch-off layer.  
     
     
         2 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  wherein at least one of the play regions contains a prize defeating symbol.  
     
     
         3 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  further comprising a prize area indicating the type and value of prizes that may be won by playing the game.  
     
     
         4 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  wherein the play area comprises a grid of individual play regions arranged in a plurality of rows and columns with each row and column comprising a plurality of said play regions.  
     
     
         5 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  wherein each individual play region contains either a prize supporting symbol or a prize defeating symbol.  
     
     
         6 . The lottery ticket of  claim 5  further comprising a directional region separate from the play area containing a plurality of individual directional areas each containing a directional symbol.  
     
     
         7 . The lottery ticket of  claim 6  wherein at least one of the individual play regions contains a directional symbol requiring the player to move to a different individual play region.  
     
     
         8 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  further comprising a start region containing a directional symbol directing the player to a specific individual play region.  
     
     
         9 . The lottery ticket of  claim 1  wherein the player selects any individual play region to begin the game.  
     
     
         10 . The lottery ticket of  claim 6  wherein the player selects all of the individual directional areas to play the game.  
     
     
         11 . The lottery ticket of  claim 6  wherein the player selects less than all of the individual directional areas to play the game.
