Abstract

An adhesive bond, especially for flocking a model landscape, and a process for the production of the adhesive bond, include triturating toy building blocks that are made of a solid foam that becomes adhesive by moistening, for example of foamed starch material, to form flocks, spraying the model landscape with starch in liquid form and scatterning the flocks onto the sprayed model landscape.

What is claimed as new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent is set forth in the appended claims.  
     
         1 . An adhesive bond of a toy building block that consists of a solid foam that becomes adhesive by moistening to another element, the adhesive bond comprising starch applied for adhesion in liquid form to a part selected from the group consisting of the toy building block, the other element, and both.  
     
     
         2 . An adhesive bond as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the starch is dissolved in water.  
     
     
         3 . An adhesive bond as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the other element is composed of material selected from the group consisting of the group selected from paper and card.  
     
     
         4 . An adhesive bond as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the solid foam is triturated before adhesion to form a pourable material.  
     
     
         5 . An adhesive bond as defined in  claim 4 , wherein the solid foam is triturated to form flocks.  
     
     
         6 . A method for producing an adhesive bond of a toy building block that consists of a solid foam that becomes adhesive by moistening, to another element, the method comprising the steps of applying starch in liquid form to a part selected from the group consisting of the toy building block, the other element, and both; and thereby joining the toy building block to the other element.  
     
     
         7 . A method as defined in claim  6 ; and further comprising using the starch which is dissolved in water.  
     
     
         8 . A method as defined in claim  7 ; and further comprising using the starch which is dissolved in water.  
     
     
         9 . A method as defined in claim  7 ; and further comprising applying the starch by spraying.  
     
     
         10 . A method as defined in claim  7 ; and further comprising triturating the solid foam to form a pourable material; and scattering onto the other element after the starch in liquid form has been applied to the other element.  
     
     
         11 . A method as defined in claim  10 ; and further comprising triturating the solid foam to form flocks.  
     
     
         12 . A toy structure, comprising a toy building block consisting of a solid foam that becomes adhesive by moistening; another element; and an adhesive bond for joining the toy building block to the other element, said adhesive bond including starch in liquid form applied to a part selected from the group consisting of said toy building block, the other element, and both, to provide an adhesion between said toy building block and said other element.
