Slideout support for server cabinet
Abstract
An improved slide out support to be mounted at two sides of a server cabinet for holding and drawing a computer processor in the cabinet includes a front beam slidably engaged with a rear beam. The front and rear beam have respectively a first and a second fastening flange formed and bent at a selected angle at two ends thereof for engaging with the front and rear struts of the cabinet. The front and rear beams also have respectively an engaging member which are engageable with each other at various positions such that the engaged front and rear beam may be extended or shortened to a length desired for mounting to the cabinet of different lengths.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An improved slide out support for server cabinet which has a front strut and a rear strut, comprising:
a rear beam having a second engaging member, and a second fastening flange located at a second end thereof and being formed a selected angle and being engageable with the rear strut through a fastener; and a front beam movably located in the rear beam having a first engaging member, and a first fastening flange located at a first end thereof remote from second end and formed a selected angle and being engageable with the front strut through another fastener; wherein the first and second engaging members are engageable with each other at various locations thereof for extending or shortening the length of the coupled front and rear beam to engage with the server cabinet of different length.
2 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fastening flange are respectively formed integrally with the front and rear beam by bending.
3 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the second beam has an extension section at the second end thereof to bridge over the rear strut to connect the second fastening flange.
4 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the first and second engaging member are selectively formed in slots or spaced screw bores which have a selected interval between two adjacent screw bores.
5 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the first fastening flange further has a punched retainer located at one end thereof.
6 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the front beam further has two punched stopping lugs located at two ends thereof.
7 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fastening flanges have respectively fastening apertures formed therein.
8 . The improved slide out support for server cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fastening flange are respectively normal to the front and rear beam.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
