Putty knife handle
Abstract
A putty knife handle is made up of an upper lid and a corresponding lower base. Both of them form a housing with location holes for insertion pieces and columnar tubes for insertion posts coupled and fixed with each other. The invention is characterized in that the upper lid and lower base respectively form at the front relatively a stepped projecting piece and a projecting seat. At the front of the projecting seats is a slot. Relative to the body of the lower base and behind the slot are U-shaped frames, which enable the clamping end of the blade to be implanted into the two U-shaped frames after being inserted through the slots to make it fixed firmly. Also the handle has a rubber coating for easy holding.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A putty knife handle comprising
a blade having a clamping end which is fitted with a elongated hole, and a handle having an upper lip and a lower base, both of which correspond to each other longitudinally and are similarly formed in the shape of a shell, insertion posts and columnar tubes being respectively arranged at corresponding positions of said upper lip and said lower base upper lid for an inserting fixation with each other, characterized in that a slot with a certain width is mounted at front end of a projecting seat of said lower base along and through the longitudinal axle, and said slot can be formed as a flared opening, and that two U-shaped frames are arranged against each other on the other end of said slot of said lower base, and a barbed tenon is interposed between said two U-shaped frames, and that two lateral sides of said blade are respectively inserted into the grooves of said two corresponding U-shaped frames for fixation after said clamping end of said blade is inserted into and forced out of said slot, while said elongated hole on said clamping end of said blade is exactly jointed with the barbed tenon for fixation, and that the surface of said handle is coated with a layer of rubber for easy holding.
2 . The putty knife handle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a depression bar, which gives said clamping end of said blade an additional clamping pressure in engaging with each other, is arranged behind a projecting piece on said upper lid, corresponding to the center of said two U-shaped frames of said lower base.
3 . The putty knife handle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein projecting members with certain thickness are respectively mounted on the outer surface of said upper lid and said lower base and are used as reference point in attaching said rubber thereto.
4 . The putty knife handle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a horizontal projecting part and a horizontal recessing part are respectively arranged below said projecting piece on said upper lid and said projecting seat on said lower base so as to avoid the sliding.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
