Abstract
A bag for containing produce and the like which comprises a central section and two end sections. The end sections they each comprise sections of thermoplastic sheeting, sealed together to provide a pair of facing bag walls defining a bag interior. The central section of the bag comprises at least one plastic mesh sheet. The central section defines a pair of facing, peripherally sealed walls, at least one of the walls comprising the plastic mesh sheet to further define the bag interior.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThat which is claimed:
. A bag for containing produce and the like, said bag comprising a solid-wall first thermoplastic sheet and a mesh sheet, sealed together along side edges to define a bag interior, said bag also defining a first transverse seal line between said first thermoplastic sheet and the mesh sheet, said first transverse seal line being spaced from ends of the bag and extending across the width of the bag, one end of said bag comprising said first thermoplastic sheet folded over to define a pair of wall portions, with one of said wall portions and the mesh sheet each having a first end, the mesh sheet being spaced from the one bag end; a second transverse seal line defined between a second thermoplastic sheet and the mesh sheet, said second seal line being adjacent a second end of the mesh sheet, which second end is opposed to said first seal line, said second seal line extending across the width of said bag, said first thermoplastic sheet extending beyond the second end of the mesh sheet to lie against the second thermoplastic sheet.
. The bag of claim 1 in which said first transverse seal line is positioned close to the first end of said mesh sheet and close to the first end of said first thermoplastic sheet.
. The bag of claim 2 in which a third transverse seal between the first and second sheets is present, being spaced from said plastic mesh sheet.
. The bag of claim 1 in which a third transverse seal is present, between said first and second thermoplastic sheets being spaced from said plastic mesh sheet.
. The bag of claim 4 , said bag carrying onions.
. The bag of claim 4 in which a third thermoplastic sheet is joined to said first sheet and said mesh sheet by said first seal line, said third sheet being positioned inside of said mesh sheet.
. The bag of claim 6 in which said first sheet is positioned outside of said mesh sheet in the area adjacent to said first seal line.
. The bag of claim 7 in which said third sheet is smaller than said first sheet.
. The bag of claim 1 in which a third thermoplastic sheet is joined to said first sheet and said mesh sheet by said first seal line, said third sheet being positioned inside of said mesh sheet.
. The bag of claim 9 in which said first sheet is positioned outside of said mesh sheet in the area adjacent to said first seal line.
. The bag of claim 10 in which said third sheet is smaller than said first sheet.
. The bag of claim 11 in which said first transverse seal line is positioned close to the first end of said mesh sheet and close to the first end of said first thermoplastic sheet.
. The bag of claim 12 in which said mesh sheet comprises crossing sets of parallel strands, and one of said sets of strands extending perpendicular to said side edges.
. The bag of claim 1 in which said mesh sheet comprises crossing sets of parallel strands, and one of said sets of strands extending perpendicular to said side edges.
. The bag of claim 1 , which is closed by a bunching member, which forms a closed neck in the bag.
. A bag for containing produce and the like, said bag comprising a central section and two end sections and having sealed side edges, said end sections each comprising sections of thermoplastic sheeting sealed together to provide a pair of facing bag walls defining a bag interior, the central section of said bag comprising at least one plastic mesh sheet sealed to said end sections, said central section also defining a pair of facing walls, sealed at said side edges, at least one of said walls comprising said plastic mesh sheet, to further define said bag interior.
. The bag of claim 16 in which said mesh sheet comprises crossing sets of parallel strands, and one of said sets of strands extending perpendicular to said side edges.
. The bag of claim 17 in which said central section comprises only a single plastic mesh sheet as part of one of said pair of walls, the other of said pair of walls comprising a thermoplastic sheet.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
