Abstract
A stand for baby seat particularly useful on the back of a lawn mower tractor. The stand comprises a sliding plate at its lower end and a square tube on its upper end. The sliding plate slips into a sleeve fixed on the rear end of the tractor, for that purpose. The square tube receives one end of a positioning tube, adjustable in the square tube. The other end of the positioning tube supports a horizontal plate on which is fixed the baby seat. The baby is then in a position near an adult driver, immediately to the right, to the left or to the back of the driver.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A stand for baby seat for adapting to the back of a small tractor ( 28 ), to prevent vertical jumping, said stand comprising in combination:
a sleeve ( 26 ) mounted on the rear end of said tractor, said sleeve having a sliding opening disposed horizontally, a sliding structure ( 24 ) positioned to slide horizontally along said sleeve, said sliding structure defining an L-shaped ( 21 ) structure having a lower end at said sleeve level and an upper end at a seat level, said sliding plate ( 24 ) being at said lower end for sliding into said sleeve ( 26 ) on the back of said tractor, said L-shaped structure having two perpendicular sides, one side a dormant ( 62 ) destined to provide horizontal distance and another side a riser ( 60 ) destined to raise vertically an upper end of said sliding structure, said upper end of said sliding structure comprising a T-capping ( 30 ) placed horizontally and adapted to slidably receive a positioning tube ( 34 ), said T-capping ( 30 ) having at least one flat area to prevent rotation about said positioning tube, said positioning tube comprising at one or the other of its ends a horizontal plate ( 36 ) on which can be fixed a baby seat on a right or a left side.
2 . The stand of claim 1 wherein said sliding plate is tilted to be adapted to an acute angle μ ( 70 ) of a side part of said tractor.
3 . The stand of claim 1 wherein said T-capping ( 30 ) is a square tube ( 30 ) and said positioning tube is fixed onto said square tube by locking pins ( 32 ) which are slipped through the walls of said square and positioning tubes ( 34 ), said locking pins being tied by fasteners.
4 . The stand of claim 1 wherein said horizontal plate ( 36 ) comprises holes to receive positioning screws, at least half of said positioning screws being long ( 52 ) and destined to hold together said seat ( 22 ), said horizontal plate ( 36 ) and said positioning tube ( 34 ), the rest of said positioning screws being shorter and fixing said seat onto said horizontal plate.
5 . The stand of claim 2 wherein said sleeve ( 26 ) is rectangular and is adapted to receive said sliding plate, said sleeve comprising fixation screws ( 40 ) at the back of said small tractor.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
