Abstract
A stanchion with sleeve includes an elongated member secured to a fixed structure and extending generally linearly away from the fixed structure. The sleeve has an elongated body extending curvilinearly between two opposing ends. An interior cavity extends along the sleeve and through one end of the sleeve. The interior cavity has a cross-sectional shape adapted for slip fit engagement with the stanchion post. The sleeve is formed with a curve for receiving the stanchion post in the interior cavity in force fit engagement.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A stanchion and sleeve system comprising:
a substantially rigid elongated stanchion member having a first end secured to a fixed structure, said elongated stanchion member extending generally linearly, away from said first end to an opposing non-pointed terminal end, said stanchion member having a height defined between the fixed structure and said terminal end; and a sleeve having an elongated body with a generally rectangular cross section exterior, said elongate body extending generally between two opposing ends, said sleeve having an interior cavity extending along said sleeve and through one of said two opposing ends, said interior cavity configured to receive said stanchion member therein, said stanchion member being positioned and received within said interior cavity; and said other opposing end of said sleeve having a closed, generally pointed top not conforming to the terminal end of the stanchion member.
2 . The stanchion and sleeve system according to claim 1 , wherein said sleeve has a height defined between said opposing ends, the height being equal to or greater than the height of said stanchion.
3 . The stanchion and sleeve system according to claim 1 , wherein said stanchion has a generally circular cross section
4 . A stanchion and sleeve system comprising:
a substantially rigid elongated stanchion member having a first end secured to a fixed structure, said elongated stanchion member extending generally linearly, away from said first end to an opposing non-pointed terminal end, said stanchion member having a generally circular cross section and having a height defined between the fixed structure and said terminal end; and a sleeve having an elongated body with a generally rectangular cross section exterior, said elongate body extending generally between two opposing ends, said sleeve having an interior cavity extending along said sleeve and through one of said two opposing ends, said interior cavity configured to receive said stanchion member therein, said stanchion member being positioned and received within said interior cavity; and said other opposing end of said sleeve having a closed top not conforming to the terminal end of the stanchion member.
5 . The stanchion and sleeve system according to claim 4 , wherein said sleeve has a height defined between said opposing ends, the height being equal to or greater than the height of said stanchion.
6 . The stanchion and sleeve system according to claim 4 , wherein said closed top of said sleeve is pointed.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
