Abstract

A base for an antenna to be mounted on a surface. The base includes a flexible base plate, the flexible base plate having a perimeter and support mounts mounted near the perimeter of the base plate. A mounting base having an outer housing and an inner block adapted for supporting the antenna are mounted over the flexible base plate and within the perimeter of the flexible base plate, so that when mounted on a vehicle surface the flexible base plate accommodates the surface of the vehicle.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A base for an antenna to be mounted on a surface, the base comprising; 
 a flexible base plate, the flexible base plate having a perimeter and support mounts mounted near the perimeter of the base plate;    a mounting base having an outer housing and an inner block adapted for supporting the antenna, the inner block being pivotally mounted from the outer housing, the mounting base being mounted over said flexible base plate and within the perimeter of the flexible base plate, so that when mounted on a vehicle surface the flexible base plate will flex and accommodate the vehicle surface.
