Safety net arrangement for a bunk in a truck cab

Abstract

A safety net arrangement for a bunk in a truck cab has a net, which is suspended substantially vertically in use. Net belts extend from the net under the bunk and are attached to the back wall of the cab. Elastic means are provided for withdrawing the net under the bunk, when the net is released from its suspension.

We claim:  
     
         1 . A safety net arrangement for a bunk in a cab of a truck, a safety net thereof suspended substantially vertically in use, characterized in that net belts extend from said safety net under such bunk and are attached at a back wall of such cab and in that means are provided for withdrawing said safety net under such bunk, when said safety net is released from its suspension.  
     
     
         2 . An arrangement according to  claim 1 , characterized in that said safety net is attached at its sides to said net belts, at its forward end to a net tube to which said net belts are fastened, and at its backward end to a cross bar, fastened to said net belts.  
     
     
         3 . An arrangement according to  claim 2 , characterized in that said safety net is attached at its sides to said net belts, wherein said net belts include two belts.  
     
     
         4 . An arrangement according to  claim 2 , characterized in that said net tube at its ends is provided with attachments for connection to means in such cab for suspending said net tube and thus said net.  
     
     
         5 . An arrangement according to  claim 1 , characterized in that elastic means are provided between said net and a point under such bunk for withdrawing said net under such bunk.  
     
     
         6 . An arrangement according to  claim 5 , characterized in that an elastic cord is drawn from said backward end of said net over two wheel devices at such back wall of such cab.  
     
     
         7 . An arrangement according to  claim 6 , characterized in that said wheel devices are mounted to a net bracket to be mounted to such back wall of such cab.  
     
     
         8 . An arrangement according to  claim 7 , characterized in that said net bracket at each of its ends is provided with a short belt length with an end attachment for its mounting to such back wall of such cab.
