Cosmetic composition comprising a silicone-containing compound and a fatty acid ester

Abstract

The present application relates to an anhydrous cosmetic composition comprising at least one silicone-containing compound and a specific fatty acid ester. This composition may be used as a care product and/or a make-up product for the skin and/or for keratinous materials.

We claim:  
     
         1 . An anhydrous cosmetic composition comprising, in a fatty phase, at least one silicone-containing compound and octyldodecyl neopentanoate.  
     
     
         2 . A composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the fatty phase further comprises at least one second silicone-containing compound, at least one hydrocarbon compound other than octyidodecyl neopentanoate, or a mixture of at least one second silicone-containing compound and at least one hydrocarbon compound other than octyldodecyl neopentanoate.  
     
     
         3 . A composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the octyldodecyl neopentanoate represents 0.5-99% by weight of the weight of the fatty phase.  
     
     
         4 . A composition according to  claim 3 , wherein the octyldodecyl neopentanoate represents 1-70% by weight of the weight of the fatty phase.  
     
     
         5 . A composition according to  claim 1 , further comprising a pulverulent phase, and wherein said fatty phase comprises 1-100% by weight of said composition, and said pulverulent phase comprises 0-99% by weight of said composition.  
     
     
         6 . A composition according to  claim 1 , wherein said at least one silicone-containing compound is selected from cyclomethicones; polydimethylsiloxanes; alkyldimethicones; polyphenylmethylsiloxanes; and silicones modified with aliphatic groups, with aromatic groups, with aliphatic groups and aromatic groups, or with functional groups; and the silicones of formula (¦):  
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
       
       in which: 
 R 1 . R 2 , R 5  and R 6  independently represent an alkyl radical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms,  
 R 3  and R 4  independently represent an alkyl radical having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an aryl radical,  
 X is an alkyl radical having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl radical or a vinyl radical,  
 n and p being chosen so as to impart to the silicone-containing compound a viscosity of greater than 100,000 mPa s.  
 
     
     
         7 . A composition according to  claim 6 , wherein the cyclomethicones are selected from cyclomethicones D4, D5 and D6.  
     
     
         8 . A composition according to  claim 6 , wherein the polyphenylmethylsiloxanes are selected from phenyldimethicones and phenyltrimethicones.  
     
     
         9 . A composition according to  claim 6 , wherein the aliphatic and/or aromatic groups contain fluorine.  
     
     
         10 . A composition according to  claim 6 , wherein the functional groups are selected from hydroxyl groups, thiol groups, amine groups, and mixtures thereof.  
     
     
         11 . A composition according to  claim 2 , wherein said at least one other hydrocarbon compound is selected from plant, animal, mineral and synthetic oils and waxes.  
     
     
         12 . A composition according to  claim 2 , wherein said at least one other hydrocarbon compound is selected from liquid paraffin, liquid petrolatum, perhydrosqualene, arara oil, sweet almond oil, calophyllum oil, avocado oil, sesame oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, olive oil and cereal germ oil; esters of lanolic acid, of oleic acid, of lauric acid, of stearic acid and of myristic acid; alcohols; acetyl glycerides, alcohol and polyalcohol octanoates, decanoates, and ricinoleates, caprylic/capric triglycerides and C 10  to C 18  fatty acid triglycerides; hydrogenated oils that are solid at 25° C.; mono-di-tri-and sucroglycerides; lanolins; and fatty esters that are solid at 25° C.; beeswax, carnauba wax, candellila wax, ouricurry wax, Japan wax and waxes from cork fibres and from sugar cane; paraffin wax, lignite wax and microcrystalline waxes and ozokerites; polyethylene waxes; and waxes obtained by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.  
     
     
         13 . A composition according to  claim 12 , wherein the alcohols are selected from oleyl alcohol, linoleyl alcohol, linolenyl alcohol, isostearyl alcohol and octyldodecanol.  
     
     
         14 . A composition according to  claim 12 , wherein the hydrogenated oils are selected from hydrogenated castor oil, palm oil, coconut oil, and hydrogenated tallow.  
     
     
         15 . A composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises pigments, fillers, or mixtures thereof.  
     
     
         16 . A composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the pigments are selected from mineral, organic and pearlescent pigments.  
     
     
         17 . A composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the fillers are selected from inorganic, organic and synthetic, lamellar and non-lamellar, and spherical and non-spherical fillers.  
     
     
         18 . A composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the pigments are selected from titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, zirconium dioxide, iron oxides, cerium dioxide, chromium oxide, ferric blue; carbon black, barium, strontium, calcium and aluminium lakes.  
     
     
         19 . A composition according to  claim 15 , wherein the fillers are selected from mica coated with titanium oxide or with bismuth oxychloride; talc, mica, silica, kaolin, Nylon and polyethylene powders, Teflon, starch, titanium mica, natural mother of pearl, boron nitride, hollow microspheres and silicone resin microbeads.  
     
     
         20 . A care product and/or a makeup product for the skin and/or keratinous material comprising a composition according to  claim 1 .  
     
     
         21 . A product according to  claim 20  wherein said product is a free, poured or compacted powder, a fluid anhydrous greasy product, an oil for the body and/or the face, a lotion for the body and/or the face, or a hair product.  
     
     
         22 . A product according to  claim 21  wherein said product is a foundation, a blusher, eyeshadow, a lipstick, a mascara, a solvent varnish, or an anhydrous styling gel.  
     
     
         23 . A method of preparing a homogeneous composition comprising at least one silicone-containing compound, comprising the step of including octyidodecyl neopentanoate in the composition in an amount sufficient to function as a compatibilizing agent.  
     
     
         24 . A method of preparing a cosmetic composition comprising powders, comprising the step of including octyldodecyl neopentanoate in said cosmetic composition in an amount sufficient to aid the dispersion of said powders.
