Abstract

An acupressure point treatment apparatus including an acupressure pointer including a pellet on a finger strap, a finger grounder including a grounding plate on a finger strap, and a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) monitor electrically connected to the acupressure pointer and the finger grounder.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An acupressure pointer comprising a pellet, coupled to a finger strap whereby the strap secures said pellet to a finger tip.

2 . The acupressure pointer of claim 1 wherein the pellet is made of silver to enhance an effect of acupressure point therapy.

3 . The acupressure pointer of claim 1 wherein the pellet is made of magnetized material to provide an effect of magnetic therapy.

4 . The acupressure pointer of claim 1 wherein the finger strap includes a layer of insulation to prevent electrical conduction between the pellet and the finger tip.

5 . The acupressure pointer of claim 1 wherein the finger strap is made of electrically insulating material to prevent electrical conduction between the pellet and the finger tip.

6 . The acupressure pointer of claim 1 further comprising a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) monitor electrically connected to the pellet and a ground contactor electrically connected to the GSR monitor.

7 . An acupressure point treatment method comprising the steps of:
applying a pellet of an acupressure pointer by finger pressure on a patient at a treatment point; and varying said finger pressure with movement of a finger tip to obtain therapeutic effect.

8 . A finger grounder comprising a grounding metal plate coupled to a finger strap whereby the strap secures said plate to a finger tip.

9 . The finger grounder of claim 8 wherein the finger strap includes a layer of insulation to prevent electrical conduction between the grounding plate and the finger tip.

10 . The finger grounder of claim 8 wherein the finger strap is made of electrically insulating material to prevent electrical conduction between the grounding plate and the finger tip.

11 . The finger grounder of claim 8 further comprising a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) monitor electrically connected to the grounding plate and a search probe electrically connected to the GSR monitor.

12 . An acupressure point treatment apparatus comprising:
a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) monitor; an acupressure pointer having a pellet electrically connected to the GSR monitor and the pellet being coupled to a finger strap for securing said pellet to a finger tip; and a ground contactor electrically connected to the GSR monitor.

13 . The acupressure point treatment apparatus of claim 12 wherein the ground contactor is a grounding pole.

14 . The acupressure point treatment apparatus of claim 12 wherein the ground contactor is a finger grounder having a metal plate electrically connected to the GSR monitor and the metal plate being coupled to a finger strap for securing the plate to a finger tip.

15 . The acupressure point treatment apparatus of claim 12 further comprising a wrist strap for securing the GSR monitor to a wrist.

16 . The method of claim 7 further comprising the step of first locating a treatment point on a patient with an acupressure pointer electrically connected to a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) monitor.

17 . The method of claim 16 wherein locating the treatment point includes applying a grounding plate on the patient with finger pressure.

18 . The method of claim 16 wherein locating the treatment point includes the patient holding a grounding pole.
