Bedding and pillowcases

Abstract

The present invention is that of a combination of cotton and flannel to be used for bed sheets and pillow cases. In bed sheets, the present invention would comprise a cotton “half-sheet” and a flannel “half-sheet” attached to each other lengthwise. In pillow cases, the present invention would comprise a cotton side and a flannel side attached to each other. In use, a user would be able to use the cotton portion of the bed sheet and/or pillowcase in warmer weather and the flannel portion of the bed sheet and/or pillowcase in cooler weather.

What I claim as my invention is:  
     
         1 . A pillowcase comprising 
 (a) a cotton sheet having two ends, a first end and a second end, the cotton sheet also having two sides, a first side and a second side,    (b) a flannel sheet having two ends, a first end and a second end, the cotton sheet also having two sides, a first side and a second side, and    (c) attachment means for connecting the second end of the cotton sheet to the second end of the flannel sheet, the first side of the cotton sheet to the first side of the flannel sheet, and the second side of the cotton sheet to the second side of the cotton sheet.    
     
     
         2 . A pillowcase according to    claim 1    wherein the pillowcase would be a king-sized pillowcase.  
     
     
         3 . A pillowcase according to    claim 2    wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately thirty-six inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately thirty-six inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length, and further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length.  
     
     
         4 . A pillowcase according to    claim 1    wherein the pillowcase would be a queen-sized pillowcase.  
     
     
         5 . A pillowcase according to    claim 4    wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately twenty-eight inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately twenty-eight inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length, and further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length.  
     
     
         6 . A pillowcase according to    claim 1    wherein the pillowcase would be a standard-sized pillowcase.  
     
     
         7 . A pillowcase according to    claim 6    wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately twenty-six inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately twenty-six inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length, and further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel sheet would preferably be approximately twenty inches in length.  
     
     
         8 . A bedsheet comprising: 
 (a) a cotton portion having two ends, a first end and a second end, the cotton portion further having two sides, a first side and a second side,    (b) a flannel portion having two ends, a first end and a second end, the cotton portion further having two sides, a first side and a second side, and    (c) attachment means for connecting the second side of the cotton portion to the first side of the flannel portion.    
     
     
         9 . A bedsheet according to    claim 8    wherein the bedsheet would be a king-sized bedsheet.  
     
     
         10 . A bedsheet according to    claim 9    wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton portion are approximately fifty-four inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel portion are approximately fifty-four inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length.  
     
     
         11 . A bedsheet according to    claim 8    wherein the bedsheet would be a queen-sized bedsheet.  
     
     
         12 . A bedsheet according to    claim 11    wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton portion are approximately forty-five inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel portion are approximately forty-five inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length.  
     
     
         13 . A bedsheet according to    claim 8    wherein the bedsheet would be a standard-sized bedsheet.  
     
     
         14 . A bedsheet according to    claim 13    wherein the first end and the second end of the cotton portion are approximately forty and one-half inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the cotton portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length, further wherein the first end and the second end of the flannel portion are approximately forty and one-half inches in length, further wherein the first side and the second side of the flannel portion are approximately one hundred two inches in length.
