Claims

Abstract

A display device for illuminating non-opaque materials and non-opaque mediums upon their surface while simultaneously illuminating a three-dimensional object. An interior light source is arranged to be enclosed within a plurality of non-opaque materials and the cabinet or mold for which they are designed. The energized light illuminates and enhances non-opaque mediums upon the artists' media surface and simultaneously illuminates a three-dimensional object. A further object of the display device is the novel method of mounting non-opaque artwork in the cabinet. The cabinet top ( 3 ) is removed, and non-opaque materials ( 2 ) can be inserted or removed from the base ( 7 ). The individual frame ( 5 & 6 ) for the non-opaque materials ( 2 ) covers the portion of the non-opaque materials ( 5 ) which will not illuminate. The cabinet top ( 3 ) locks laterally in place because of the non-opaque materials. An artists' stencil to prescribe outlines and/or numbers within those outlines using non-opaque mediums.

I claim:  
     
         1 . A combination work station for artwork and display device for an artist's artwork produced thereat, said combination work station and display device simultaneously illuminating a three-dimensional object, comprising: 
 i) a frame having a light source behind at least one unadorned non-opaque material surface to illuminate said non-opaque material surface,    ii) a set of artist's working tools including artistic media to be applied upon said unadorned surface of said at least one non-opaque material surface of said combination work station for artwork and display device, to adorn said nonopaque material surface with spontaneously created artwork thereon, and simultaneously illuminate said three-dimensional objects placed thereabout,    iii) said frame having a predetermined width and a predetermined height,    iv) said at least one frame having an opening having a predetermined length and a predetermined width;    v) said frame having at least one grooved fastener for the insertion or removal of said unadorned non-opaque material surface, said unadorned non-opaque material surface being receptive to adorning with artwork spontaneously created by the artist,    vi) said frame further having at least one source of electrical current powering said light source,    vii.) said at least one interior light source energizing and illuminating said non-opaque material surface and said artistic media applied spontaneously thereon;    viii.) said at least one interior light source simultaneously illuminating said three-dimensional object thereabout.    
     
     
         2 . A combination work station for artwork and display device for an artist's artwork produced thereat, said combination work station and display device simultaneously illuminating a three-dimensional object, comprising: 
 i) a base supporting at least one non-opaque outer element having at least one unadorned non-opaque material outer surface and a predetermined width and height,    ii) a light source powered by an electrical current being placed adjacent to said at least one unadorned non-opaque material surface to illuminate said non-opaque material surface,    iii) a set of artists working tools including artistic media to be applied upon said unadorned surface of said at least one non-opaque material surface of said combination work station for artwork and display device, to adorn said nonopaque material surface with spontaneously created artwork thereon, and simultaneously illuminate said three-dimensional objects placed thereabout,    iv) at least one fastener to attach and remove said non-opaque outer-element from said at least one base; whereby direct application of said artistic media to said outer-element's surface provides said non-opaque outer-element with a plurality of illuminated appearances;    v.) said at least one interior light source simultaneously illuminating a three-dimensional object thereabout.    
     
     
         3 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is mounted to at least one planar surface adjacent to at least one removable planar, fabricated, or molded non-opaque material surface, said removable non-opaque material surface mounted to at least one fastener, and fastener separately attached to said planar surface, providing mounting and removal of said non-opaque material surface adjacent to said light source.  
     
     
         4 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is mounted on at least one planar surface adjacent to at least one removable planar non-opaque material surface, said removable planar non-opaque material surface mounted to at least one fastener, and fastener separately mounted to said planar surface, said fastener extending planar non-opaque material surface forward of said adjacent light source.  
     
     
         5 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is mounted on at least one planar surface adjacent to at least one removable curved non-opaque material surface, said removable curved non-opaque material surface mounted to at least one fastener, and fastener separately mounted to said planar surface, said fastener extending curved non-opaque material surface forward of said adjacent light source.  
     
     
         6 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is placed adjacent to at least one planar surface.  
     
     
         7 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is placed adjacent to at least one curved surface.  
     
     
         8 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1   , wherein said three-dimensional objects' underside is illuminated through a non-opaque material thereabout.  
     
     
         9 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said non-opaque material surface rests against supports mounted to said planar surface, said supports resisting movement while adorning non-opaque material surfaces.  
     
     
         10 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    for an artist's artwork produced wherein said display device has a removable top leaving cabinet slots to fasten and insert and remove non-opaque materials from behind the front frame.  
     
     
         11 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said at least one frame comprises a cabinet having a plurality of frames, and further wherein said non-opaque materials are inserted or removed into a front frame of said plurality of frames, said front frame having hooks, said hooks fastening non-opaque materials on a separate cabinet frame of said plurality of frames, said cabinet frame having slots.  
     
     
         12 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said frame includes at least one hinged open-able frame receiving at least one non-opaque material surface in said device.  
     
     
         13 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said at least one non-opaque material surface is a plurality of non-opaque material surfaces, each respective non-opaque material surface sliding directly into a respective channel of a plurality of channels encapsulating said cabinet frame in a closed position, said light source illuminating said respective non-opaque material surfaces.  
     
     
         14 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein a fastener holds non-opaque media on said non-opaque material surface.  
     
     
         15 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 2   , wherein said base comprises: 
 i.) a set of removable supports providing height;    ii.) fasteners to insert and remove said supports providing base thereto.    
     
     
         16 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 15   , wherein said non-opaque outer-element comprises a singular molded shape.  
     
     
         17 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 2    wherein said outer-element is at least one character or pre-determined form or shape.  
     
     
         18 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said at least one frame includes a non-illuminated outer-opaque portion of said non-opaque material surface.  
     
     
         19 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object as in    claim 1    wherein said device is moldable.  
     
     
         20 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said source of electrical current comprises an electrical housing holding a lamp-holder, said lamp holder holding a lamp, said lamp energized by a switch alternately turning on and off said current provided from said electrical current source through a wire having a plug connect-able to said electrical current source.  
     
     
         21 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said source of electrical current comprises an electrical housing including a lamp socket holding a lamp having a ballast therein, said lamp energized by a switch alternately turning on and off said current provided from said electrical current source through a wire having a plug connect-able to said electrical current source.  
     
     
         22 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said source of electrical current comprises a battery operated lighting unit with/without electrical jack.  
     
     
         23 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said source of electrical current comprises a plurality of light-emitting diode batteries powering a plurality of light emitting diodes.  
     
     
         24 . A method for displaying artistic media upon illuminated non-opaque materials, comprising the steps of: 
 i.) applying artistic media directly upon the surface of said non-opaque materials;    ii.) providing an electrical current to an interior light source to diffract light by transmission from the interior to the exterior surface of the said non-opaque materials, wherein the illumination of the said artistic media directly applied to the outer surface of the non-opaque material, diffracts further, providing said illumination of said artistic media.    
     
     
         25 . The method described in    claim 24    wherein said artistic media directly applied upon said non-opaque materials are non-opaque media.  
     
     
         26 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    for an artist's artwork produced thereat wherein said artists working tools are selected from the group consisting of 
 i.) oil paint;  
 ii.) acrylic paint;  
 iii.) fluorescent paint;  
 iv.) inks;  
 v.) gels;  
 vi.) crayons;  
 vii.) magic markers;  
 viii.) gouache;  
 x.) transparencies;  
 xi.) colored tissue paper;  
 xii) brushes;  
 xiii) pens;  
 xiv.) clear fluorescent paint;  
 xv.) vinyl acrylic binders;  
 xvi.) adhesives  
 xvii.) photographs.  
 
     
     
         27 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said non-opaque material surface is a panel.  
     
     
         28 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said non-opaque material surface is an artists canvas.  
     
     
         29 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said non-opaque material surface is translucent plastic.  
     
     
         30 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said non-opaque material surface is transparent plastic.  
     
     
         31 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    for an artist's artwork produced thereat wherein said interior light sources are selected from the group consisting of 
 i.) fluorescent light;  
 ii.) incandescent light;  
 iii.) strobe light;  
 iv.) black light.  
 v.) at least one light emitting diode;  
 vi.) at least one low-wattage light.  
 
     
     
         32 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    further comprising at least one artists' stencil prescribing at least one outlines for using artists' mediums thereon.  
     
     
         33 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 32    wherein said stencil has at least one extensions locking said stencil from lateral movement when said stencil is placed on said non-opaque material surface.  
     
     
         34 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said stencil is placed within said at least one frame.  
     
     
         35 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in claim wherein a plurality of numbers are provided within said outline of said at least one stencil.  
     
     
         36 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 32    wherein a plurality of color codes are provided within said outline of said at least one stencil.  
     
     
         37 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein a swivel base is provided to rotate and show artwork.  
     
     
         38 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein a support component allows the said display device to hang out from a wall.  
     
     
         39 . The combination work station for artwork and display device described in    claim 1    wherein a support component allows the said display device to hang down from a ceiling.  
     
     
         40 . The combination work station for artwork and display device described in    claim 1    wherein said interior light source is removable from said frame.  
     
     
         41 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said at least one non-opaque material surface comprises a plurality of interchangeable non-opaque material surfaces, providing a means to change and replace said non-opaque material surface with a different non-opaque material surface.

The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein said at least one non-opaque material surface comprises a plurality of interchangeable non-opaque material surfaces, providing a means to change and re-use each of said non-opaque material surfaces.  
     
     
         43 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    with rearward opening providing vent.  
     
     
         44 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 1    wherein a web material pouch has at least one fold to grip said planar non-opaque material surface, fastening said web material pouch thereon, said web material pouch having opening with pre-determined length and pre-determined width, and illuminating through said opening.  
     
     
         45 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 44    wherein a rectangular photographic matt design is used.  
     
     
         46 . The combination work station for artwork and display device to simultaneously illuminate a three-dimensional object described in    claim 44    wherein a photographic pre-determined design matt is used.
