Dispenser package and outlet forming structure
Abstract
A dispenser package and outlet forming structure include a package wall ( 20 ) and a flap ( 30 ). Flap ( 30 ) is folded over at any desirable location of the package ( 10 ) and is adhesively attached to the package wall ( 20 ) at any predetermined location. Flap ( 30 ) is folded so that the surface of flap ( 30 ) that is adhesed to the surface of the package wall ( 20 ) is one continuous surface. When a pulling force exerted by a user exceeds the adhesion force between the package wall ( 20 ) and the flap ( 30 ), the flap ( 30 ) will break away from the package wall ( 20 ) causing a locus, fault, or score ( 40 ) to rupture. The rupturing of the locus, fault, or score ( 40 ) also causes the aperture outlet ( 50 ) to rupture thereby forming an outlet hole at a predetermined location for allowing the flowable product contents to exit the package ( 10 ).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
. A sealed package for containing and dispensing flowable products having a flap which enfolds the locus of an aperture outlet to be created in said package wall which flap is sealingly attached to its own same wall surface and which flap, when raised, automatically develops an outlet hole in a predetermined location of said package wall.
. A sealed package of claim 1 where said sealed package is a pouch.
. A sealed package of claim 2 where said flap contains a breakaway tip which is sealingly attached to the wall beneath the flap when folded over.
. A sealed package of claim 2 where said flap is sealingly attached to a breakaway tip formed in the wall of said package beneath the flap when folded over.
. A sealed package of claim 2 where said flap contains a hole and said wall surface has peelable adhesive means so located as to peelably seal flap down when folded over as well as to create a peelable seal encircling said hole.
. A sealed package of claim 2 where said wall contains a hole covered by said flap when folded over and said wall surface has peelable adhesive means so located as to peelably seal said flap down when folded over as well as to create a peelable seal encircling said hole.
. A sealed package of claim 2 where said flap surface contains a score of such shape as to at least partially encompass an area which when flap is folded over is sealingly attached to said same wall surface so that when flap is lifted said at least partially encompassed area within said score is lifted up at least partially away from said wall surface leaving an outlet hole.
. A sealed package of claim 1 where said package for containing and dispensing flowable products has at least one flat surface containing a hole to which a thermoformed hinged member is sealingly attached which member has a cap formed in its flap which seats over and is sealed to a breakaway tip which is located directly over said hole in said flat surface.
. A sealed package of claim 1 where said package for containing and dispensing flowable products has at least one flat surface containing a hole to which a thermoformed hinged member is sealingly attached which member has a cap formed in its flap which seats over and is peelably sealed to a protrusion having a hole located directly over said hole in said flat surface. Said peelable seal encircling said hole.
. The package of claim 2 further including an outlet hole, valve means comprised of seals so located as to modify, reduce and control the product flow channel path from the main supply of product contained to the outlet hole.
. An independent unit comprising a hinged thermoformed plastic member having a cap which hinges over and is sealingly attached to a breakaway tip which may be attached to sealed containers to provide reclosable aperture forming means.
. A sealed package of claim 3 where wall beneath flap comprises a cap which seats on said breakaway tip formation whose inner upper surface is sealed to said tip of breakaway tip when flap is folded over.
. A sealed package of claim 4 where said flap comprises a cap which seats on said breakaway tip whose inner upper surface is sealed to said breakaway tip in wall when flap is folded over.
. An aperture forming means for a [A] sealed package for containing and dispensing flowable products having flap which enfolds the locus of an aperture outlet to be created in said package wall which flap is sealingly attached to its own same wall surface and which flap, when raised, automatically develops an outlet hole in a predetermined location of said package wall.
. An aperture forming means of claim 14 where said sealed package is a pouch.
. An aperture forming means of claim 15 where said flap contains a breakaway tip which is sealingly attached to the wall beneath the flap when folded over.
. An aperture forming means of claim 15 where said flap is sealingly attached to a breakaway tip formed in the wall of said package beneath the flap when folded over.
. An aperture forming means of claim 15 where said flap contains a hole and said wall surface has peelable adhesive means so located as to peelably seal flap down when folded over as well as to create a peelable seal encircling said hole.
. An aperture forming means of claim 15 where said wall contains a hole covered by said flap when folded over and said wall surface has peelable adhesive means so located as to peelably seal said flap down when folded over as well as to create a peelable seal encircling said hole.
. An aperture forming means of claim 15 where said flap surface contains a score of such shape as to at least partially encompass an area which when flap is folded over is sealingly attached to said same wall surface so that when flap is lifted said at least partially encompassed area within said score is lifted up at least partially away from said wall surface leaving an outlet hole.
. An aperture forming means of claim 14 where said package for containing and dispensing flowable products has at least one flat surface containing a hole to which a thermoformed hinged member is sealingly attached which member has a cap formed in its flap which seats over and is sealed to a breakaway tip which is located directly over said hole in said flat surface.
. An aperture forming means of claim 14 where said package for containing and dispensing flowable products has at least one flat surface containing a hole to which a thermoformed hinged member is sealingly attached which member has a cap formed in its flap which seats over and is peelably sealed to a protrusion having a hole located directly over said hole in said flat surface. Said peelable seal encircling said hole.
. An aperture forming means of claim 16 where wall beneath flap comprises a cap which seats on said breakaway tip formation whose inner upper surface is sealed to said tip of breakaway tip when flap is folded over.
. An aperture forming means of claim 16 where flap comprises cap which seats on said breakaway tip whose inner upper surface is sealed to said breakaway tip in wall when flap is folded over.
. Tamper evidence means of claim 1 where flap has a tear out portion of flap surface encircled by a score which is sealingly attached to the surface beneath it.
. Tamper evidence means of claim 14 where flap has a tear out portion of flap surface encircled by a score which is sealingly attached to the surface beneath it.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
