I claim:

1 . An exercise device for attachment to vertical structures in a building; said device comprising: a sliding surface comprising a rectangular shaped piece of material and such material being of a smooth surface for supporting the sliding motion of a user wearing clothing, such material being of a flexible nature so as to allow said sliding surface to be rolled up for transport; top and bottom mounting support members comprising a rigid rectangular beam shaped piece of material for supporting and mounting said sliding surface onto a wall surface and into wall studs; said upper mounting support member comprising a rigid material being in close connection with said sliding surface and running about parallel to said upper edge of said sliding surface; said lower mounting support member comprising a rigid material being in close connection with said sliding surface and running about parallel to said lower edge of said sliding surface, each of said mounting support members having a set of preformed apertures; said apertures of size and shape to accommodate the mounting of said mounting support members into said wall studs by the use of wall anchoring devices.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said preformed apertures are spaced apart about 16″.

3 . A method of exercising in a room that has a vertical surface comprising the steps of: adhering adhesive strips to a sliding surface; said sliding surface comprising a rectangular shaped piece of material and such material being of a smooth surface for supporting the sliding motion of a user wearing clothing, such material being of a flexible nature so as to allow said sliding surface to be rolled up for transport; adhering said adhesive strip and said sliding surface to the vertical surface.
