Abstract
The invention relates to a polymer having at least one group derived from a carboxylic ester of a hydroxyalkylamide and an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and a radiation curable composition comprising this polymer. A coating composition comprising this composition has a high rate of polymerisation and results in coatings having the desired chemical and mechanical properties.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A radiation curable coating composition comprising a polymer having formula (I):
where:
P=a polymrer group,
Y=hydrogen, an (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl group or a group of the formula
R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 are, identical or different, hydrogen or a lineair, branched or cyclic (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl chain,
R 5 =hydrogen, (C 1 -C 5 )alkyl, —CH 2 OH or CH 2 COOX,
R 6 , R 7 =hydrogen, (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl, or COOX,
X=hydrogen or (C 1 -C 8 ) alkyl,
n=1-100 and
m=1-4.
2 . A composition according to claim 1 , characterized in that Y is hydrogen or methyl, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are hydrogen or methyl, R 5 is hydrogen or (m)ethyl and R 6 and R 7 are hydrogen.
3 . A coating obtained by radiation curing of a composition according to any one of claims 1 - 2 .
4 . An entirely or partly coated substrate wherein a coating according to claim 3 is applied as the coating.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
