Image processing apparatus for storing log information and deleting log in response to a request from an information processing apparatus
Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes a controller capable of generating occurrence of an event to be audited, as log information; a storage that stores the log information; an outputter that reads and outputs the log information stored in the storage in response to an acquisition request for the log information by an information processing apparatus; and an adder that adds, to the log information, identification information indicating that the log information has been stored in the information processing apparatus. The controller stores the log information added with the identification information in the storage. In a case where a storage amount of the log information stored in the storage has reached an upper limit when newly storing log information generated in association with occurrence of the event, the controller deletes the log information added with the identification information from the storage, and stores the generated log information.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a controller capable of generating an occurrence of an event to be audited, as log information; and
a storage that stores the log information,
wherein
the controller:
determines whether or not the log information has also been stored in an information processing apparatus,
reads and outputs the log information stored in the storage in response to an acquisition request for the log information received from the information processing apparatus,
determines the log information that is stored in both the information processing apparatus and in the storage, as a deletion candidate,
deletes, from the storage, the log information determined as the deletion candidate in response to a deletion request for the log information received from the information processing apparatus,
adds, to the log information, identification information indicating that the log information has also been stored in the information processing apparatus,
stores the log information with the added identification information in the storage, and
deletes, from the storage, the log information with the added identification information that is already stored in the storage, and stores log information that is newly generated in a case that:
a storage amount of the log information stored in the storage reaches an upper limit, and
the newly generated log information in association with occurrences of events is to be stored in the storage.
2. The image processing apparatus according to the claim 1 , wherein
the controller further provides a login authentication screen to the information processing apparatus to receive a login authentication of a user or an administrator from the information processing apparatus.
3. The image processing apparatus according to the claim 2 , wherein
the controller further provides a password policy setting screen to the information processing apparatus that receives settings or changes of a password policy to be applied to a login password used for the login authentication by the user or the administrator.
4. The image processing apparatus according to the claim 3 , wherein
the password policy setting screen is a setting screen that is capable of making the password policy for an administrator password and the password policy for a user password to be set separately.
5. The image processing apparatus according to the claim 4 , wherein
the password policy includes at least one of a minimum password length, a password creation rule, and a prohibition of a reuse of the login password.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
