Abstract
A management apparatus that manages network devices through a network manages information about network devices registered as management targets and executes a third type task in a case where a new network device satisfying a predetermined condition is found in a search, thereby automatically executing a plurality of tasks for the found network device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A management apparatus comprising,
at least one memory storing instructions; and
at least one processor executing the instructions causing the management apparatus to:
receive a designation related to a license file to be used for enabling software for an image processing apparatus that is to be newly found by a search, after the reception of the designation, on a network;
manage the designation as a task;
manage setting information other than data of the managed task; and
output, as a file, data including the managed setting information other than the data of the managed task.
2. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the management apparatus to receive a designation related to condition information that is based on at least one of an Internet Protocol (IP) address, a model name, a serial number and a Media Access Control (MAC) address;
wherein the condition information is used to find a new image processing apparatus as a target for the designation related to the license file.
3. The management apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the designation related to the condition information can be received by importing data from an outside source.
4. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the output file can be imported by another management apparatus.
5. The management apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein a status of the managed task is capable of being switched, based on a user operation, among a working status in which processing that corresponds to the managed task and includes searching for an image processing apparatus that satisfies the condition information is performed and a stop status in which the processing is not performed.
6. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the management apparatus to provide a device list including information of a plurality of image processing apparatuses that are managed by the management apparatus.
7. The management apparatus according to claim 6 ,
wherein the instructions further cause the management apparatus to provide a screen for setting an instruction to be executed for one image processing apparatus selected from the device list, and
wherein, on the provided screen, a reporting, a firmware update, an edit of setting values or a backup of data is settable as the instruction for the selected image processing apparatus.
8. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the management apparatus to receive a third designation related to a timing of the search.
9. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the image processing apparatus has at least one of a scanner and a printer.
10. The management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the management apparatus to transmit license information based on the license file to the image processing apparatus that is newly found by the search.
11. A method for a management apparatus, comprising:
receiving a designation related to a license file to be used for enabling software for an image processing apparatus that is to be newly found by a search, after the reception of the designation, on a network;
managing the designation as a task;
managing setting information other than data of the managed task; and
outputting, as a file, data including the managed setting information other than the data of the managed task.
12. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising receiving a designation related to condition information that is based on at least one of an IP address, a model name, a serial number and a MAC address;
wherein the condition information is used to find a new image processing apparatus as a target for the designation related to the license file.
13. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the designation related to the condition information can be received by importing data from an outside source.
14. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the output file can be imported by another management apparatus.
15. The method according to claim 12 , wherein a status of the managed task is capable of being switched, based on a user operation, among a working status in which processing that corresponds to the managed task and includes searching for an image processing apparatus that satisfies the condition information is performed and a stop status in which the processing is not performed.
16. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising providing a device list including information of a plurality of image processing apparatuses that are managed by the management apparatus.
17. The method according to claim 16 ,
further comprising providing a screen for setting an instruction to be executed for one image processing apparatus selected from the device list, and
wherein, on the provided screen, a reporting, a firmware update, an edit of setting values or a backup of data is settable as the instruction for the selected image processing apparatus.
18. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising receiving a third designation related to a timing of the search.
19. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the image processing apparatus has at least one of a scanner and a printer.
20. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising transmitting license information based on the license file to the image processing apparatus that is newly found by the search.
21. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a computer program for making a computer execute a method, the method comprising,
receiving a designation related to a license file to be used for enabling software for an image processing apparatus that is to be newly found by a search, after the reception of the designation, on a network;
managing the designation as a task;
managing setting information other than data of the managed task; and
outputting, as a file, data including the managed setting information other than the data of the managed task.
22. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises receiving a designation related to condition information that is based on at least one of an IP address, a model name, a serial number and a MAC address;
wherein the condition information is used to find a new image processing apparatus as a target for the designation related to the license file.
23. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 22 , wherein the designation related to the condition information can be received by importing data from an outside source.
24. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the output file can be imported by another management apparatus.
25. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 22 , wherein a status of the managed task is capable of being switched, based on a user operation, among a working status in which processing that corresponds to the managed task and includes searching for an image processing apparatus that satisfies the condition information is performed and a stop status in which the processing is not performed.
26. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises providing a device list including information of a plurality of image processing apparatuses that are managed by the management apparatus.
27. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 26 ,
wherein the method further comprises providing a screen for setting an instruction to be executed for one image processing apparatus selected from the device list, and
wherein, on the provided screen, a reporting, a firmware update, an edit of setting values or a backup of data is settable as the instruction for the selected image processing apparatus.
28. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises receiving a third designation related to a timing of the search.
29. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the image processing apparatus has at least one of a scanner and a printer.
30. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 21 , wherein the method further comprises transmitting license information based on the license file to the image processing apparatus that is newly found by the search.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
