Abstract
Provided is a display apparatus and a method of manufacture. The display apparatus includes a first substrate with a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, a second substrate with a color filter, the second substrate facing the first substrate, and an adhesive layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to cover the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, the adhesive layer being made of a material selected from the group consisting of a phenol resin, a melanin resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a silicon resin and a polyurethane resin.

1. A display apparatus, comprising:
a drive panel including a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, wherein the organic electroluminescence devices each include a first electrode, one or more organic layers including a light-emitting layer and a second electrode laminated in order on a substrate, and wherein light generated in the light-emitting layer is extracted from a side of the second electrode,
a sealing panel provided on the substrate, wherein the sealing panel faces the drive panel on the side of the second electrode; and
an adhesive layer provided between the sealing panel and the drive panel, wherein at least a peripheral edge of the adhesive layer is exposed,
wherein the second electrode includes a semi-transparent electrode having semi-transparency for the light generated in the light-emitting layer, and
wherein the semi-transparent electrode and the first electrode constitute a resonant portion of a resonator configured to resonate the light generated in the light-emitting layer.
2. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a phase shift of reflected light generated in the first electrode and the semi-transparent electrode is D, an optical distance between the first electrode and the semi-transparent electrode is L and a peak wavelength of a spectrum of light extracted from the second electrode is λ, and wherein the optical distance L is a positive minimum value and satisfies a formula:

wherein q is an integer.
3. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sealing panel includes a color filter including a red filter, a green filter and a blue filter.
4. The display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the color filter is provided on a side of the substrate facing the drive panel.
5. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sealing panel includes an antireflective film.
6. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the second electrode includes a transparent electrode having transmittance for the light generated in the light-emitting layer.
7. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the second electrode is cathode.
8. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive layer includes a first adhesive portion including an ultraviolet curing material and a second adhesive portion including a heat-curable material.
9. The display apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the ultraviolet curing material is cured by applying ultraviolet rays before curing the heat-curable material.
