Abstract
Disclosed are a terminal device for controlling uplink transmission power and a method therefor. A receiving antenna receives uplink transmission mode change information from a base station. A processor determines a transmission power value to be used for the uplink transmission by means of an offset value corresponding to the uplink transmission mode change information. A transmitting antenna transmits an uplink signal with the determined transmission power value.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A method for determining transmission power of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a wireless communication system, the method being performed by a terminal and comprising:
determining a transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH based on a number of antennas; and
wherein the transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH via two antennas differs by an offset value from the transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH via one antenna,
transmitting the PUCCH using the determined transmission power value,
wherein the offset value is one of a plurality of multi-level defined values and is defined separately for each format of the PUCCH.
2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, from a base station, the offset value which depends on the number of antennas used for transmitting the PUCCH.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the offset value is to compensate for transmit diversity gain in accordance with the number of antennas for transmitting the PUCCH.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein a different offset value is defined for each respective number of antennas used for transmitting the PUCCH.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the offset value is configured per specific time period.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PUCCH is transmitted by a spatial orthogonal resource transmit diversity (SORTD) scheme via two antennas.
7. A terminal that determines transmission power of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
a receiver that receives information through one or more receiving antennas from a base station;
a transmitter that transmits information through one or more transmitting antennas to the base station; and
a processor that:
determines a transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH based on a number of antennas; and
wherein the transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH via two antennas differs by an offset value from the transmission power value for transmitting the PUCCH via one antenna,
controls the transmitter to transmit the PUCCH using the determined transmission power value,
wherein the offset value is one of a plurality of multi-level defined values and is defined separately for each format of the PUCCH.
8. The terminal of claim 7 , wherein the processor further controls the receiver to receive, from a base station, the offset value which depends on the number of antennas used for transmitting the PUCCH.
9. The terminal of claim 7 , wherein the offset value is to compensate for transmit diversity gain in accordance with the number of antennas for transmitting the PUCCH.
10. The terminal of claim 7 , wherein a different offset value is defined for each respective number of antennas used for transmitting the PUCCH.
11. The terminal of claim 7 , wherein the offset value is configured per specific time period.
12. The terminal of claim 7 , wherein the PUCCH is transmitted by a spatial orthogonal resource transmit diversity (SORTD) scheme via the two antennas.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
