Abstract

This invention is directed to a system for providing a modifiable skateboard comprising: a deck; a plurality of mounting slots defined in the bottom of the deck for receiving attachments; a plurality of detent indentions defined in the mounting slots operatively associated with attachments thereby securing accessories to the underside of the deck; an accessory having an attachment member that can be received in the mounting slot accessories to be attached to and arranged in multiple configurations to the deck. The invention can also include accessories selected from the group of trucks with wheels, single wheels, ice blade, pivots and the like. The invention can include an opening defined in the deck for receiving a wheel; and, a wheel carried by the mounting rails so that a portion of the wheel protrudes above the deck and a portion of the wheel protrudes below the deck.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A modifiable skateboard comprising:
 a deck; a plurality of mounting slots defined in the bottom of said deck for receiving attachments; a plurality of detent indentions defined in said mounting slots operatively associated with said attachments, for securing said attachments to predetermined locations along the underside of said deck; and, at least one accessory connected to each of said attachments.

         2 . The skateboard of claim 1 wherein said accessory is selected from the group comprising trucks with wheels, single wheel, ice blade, pivot, stop and light.

         3 . The skateboard of claim 1 having a single wheel attached to one side of the deck and a plurality of wheels attached to the other side of the deck.

         4 . The skateboard of claim 3 including a single wheel disposed generally in the center of the deck.

         5 . The skateboard of claim 1 including:
 an opening defined in said deck for receiving a wheel; and,
 a wheel attached to at least one attachment carried by the mounting rails so that a portion of said wheel protrudes above the deck and a portion of said wheel protrudes below the deck.

         6 . The skateboard of claim 1 including:
 a first distal wheel attached to at least one attachment disposed at one end of said deck,
 a second distal wheel attached to at least one attachment disposed at the other end of said desk;
 said first and second distal wheels having a first diameter; and,
 a central wheel attached to at least one attachment disposed between said first and second distal wheels having a diameter larger than that of said distal wheels.

         7 . The skateboard of  claim 1  including;
 a recess defined in the top of said deck;
 a tether attached to said deck at a point within said recess;
 a handle attached to the tether that can be received by said recess when said handle is not in use and can be extended to the length of said tether when said rider wishes to use said handle to perform tricks.

         8 . The skateboard of claim 1 including:
 a magnetic plate carried by the top of said deck;
 a shoe for being worn by a rider that includes a ferrous metal carried by the soles of said shoes that, when in contact with said magnetic plate, secures said shoes to said deck.

         9 . The skateboard of claim 8 wherein:
 said magnet is an electromagnet in electronic communication with a controller and actuation button so that when said actuation button is depressed, said electromagnet energizes securing said shoes to said deck.

         10 . The skateboard of claim 9 wherein said activation button is in wireless communications with said controller.

         11 . The skateboard of claim 1 including:
 a clip attached to the top of said deck;
 a opening defined in a rider's shoe that is operably arranged to receive said clip when said shoe slides against said clip securing said shoe to said deck.

         12 . The skateboard of claim 1 including a first material having a higher rigidity than a second area wherein said first area is located at the joint between a flat portion of said deck and an upward angled portion of said deck creating a flexing area.
