Abstract
A hot water storage tank having a capacity of approximately a quart to a gallon for a sink, a tub or the like is constructed of an insulated (fiber or vacuum) metal or plastic container including connections to a hot water influent pipe and an effluent pipe to the hot water faucet. This apparatus would eliminate the problem of wasting the cold water from the hot water faucet while waiting for the water to heat up.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A hot water storage tank apparatus for supplying initially hot water to a sink or tub, comprising:
a small capacity insulated tank for storing hot water maintained proximate to a sink or tub; an influent hot water supply pipe connected to said tank; and an effluent hot water supply connected to said tank and to a hot water faucet of said sink or tub; whereby hot water is supplied substantially immediately to the sink or tub when required.
2 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , further comprising a tank capacity of approximately a quart to a gallon.
3 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , wherein the sink is modified to install the storage tank under the sink in a cabinet.
4 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , wherein the tub is modified externally to install the storage tank.
5 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , wherein the tank is internally insulated by means selected from the group consisting of fiberglass or a vacuum.
6 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 5 , wherein the internal insulation is fiberglass.
7 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , wherein the tank is placed under and connected to the sink.
8 . The hot water storage tank for a sink or tub according to claim 1 , wherein the tank is placed adjacent to and connected to the tub.Cited by (0)
