Abstract

A new and distinct variety of Azalea found as a seedling in a planned cross between the female Azalea `May Blaine` and the male Rhododendron oldhamii `Fourth of July`. The new variety possesses a unique blooming time and is superior in development of an upright, dense, globose shaped plant with attractive large semi-double orange red flowers.
