Claims

Abstract

A camera module includes a lens, a photosensitive chip and an electrical holder. The electrical holder has an integrated circuit that the electrical holder serves as an integration of a base and a PCB in a conventional camera module, wherein the electrical holder not only forms an assembling unit for connecting a driver and an optical lens but also forms an electrical connection unit for electrically connecting to the driver, a photosensitive chip and a flexible circuit board with each other, so as to minimize an overall size of the camera module.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A camera module, comprising:
 an optical lens; 
 a photosensitive chip; and 
 an electrical holder comprising a main body, a circuit arrangement embedded in said main body, and a plurality of connecting elements provided at said main body and electrically connected with said circuit arrangement, wherein said connecting elements are chip connectors electrically connected with said circuit arrangement for electrically connecting to said photosensitive chip, wherein said photosensitive chip is provided at an inner side of said electrical holder and said optical lens is provided along a photosensitive path of said photosensitive chip, wherein said main body comprises a first supporting portion a second supporting portion, and a third supporting portion, wherein an inner side of said first supporting portion and a top side of said second supporting portion form a first indented groove while said second supporting portion has a second indented groove, wherein said third supporting portion is inwardly extended from said second supporting portion, wherein a top side of said third supporting portion forms said second indented groove and an inner side of said third supporting portion forms a third indented groove, wherein said first, second and third indented grooves form a through hole, wherein said chip connectors are provided on a top surface of said third supporting portion to electrically connect with said photosensitive chip.
